Chapter eight

The group left nexapolis with cheers on their faces, knowing they accomplished the biggest feat in the world, making magic a gift again, not a curse. "man im gonna miss the warm beds and hot water..." jake landed, "me too.. they were actually really pleasant to have." David sighs, "we have been through all these places but didn't do anything significant to stop this apocalypse." Isabella said as she walked, "we gained valuable knowledge, and we know where they come from." "gigantic, black crystals floating in the air with unimaginable amounts of dark magic within them, if we can find one and study it..." David said, "i mean yes, but we do NOT know where these crystals these are.." ambrosia was playing with a dagger while saying that. "we obviously have to look for it" David flew upwards and so did jake, ambrosia and Isabella screamed "HEY ASSHOLES WHAT ABOUT US. COME BACK HERE" David turned around. grabbed them both with telekinesis and kept flying. "this is better." Isabella smirked.

they flew for hours and hours, heading opposite of nexapolis for these crystals, and thy found one. it was gigantic, and had a dark aura, with void borns all around them (void borns are the dark creatures) walking around pointlessly, in front if it there were big ruins of old buildings torn away and covered in plants, like nature was regaining back what was once hers. "i think we found our target." David hovered above it like a glimpse of light, a hope in the darkness. "this is massive..." ambrosia whispered as she grabbed her daggers, "yeah, dude this is huge." jake ran a hand through his hair. "i wonder what these ruins are" before they could continue talking a scream echoed from down below. "HELP !! SOMEBODY HELP !!" a young child screamed as void borns surrounded him, backing him into corner. "fuck" David said as he leapt down, jake grabbed the child and charged upwards, a bunch of void borns in the shape of snakes with dragon wings ascended after them, "we got u little buddy" jake gripped the kid in one arm and sent a wind slash from his other one. "LET US DOWN" ambrosia yelled, David let go of them and they landed in the ruins, into a room that seemed like an old library, with moldy books and torn up ladders, the room was massive, they couldn't even see the ceiling. "get ready darling, we dont know what the hell could be in here." Isabella tied her hair and readied an arrow. outside David flew back upwards and followed the void borns that were chasing after jake and the kid, he grabbed small clumps from the already collapsed buildings and infused them with light magic, as he shot them at the monsters, it pierced through them but they quickly regenerated and locked onto him, as they were closing the distance him david slashed through one of them with his polearm, it evaporated infront of him and the next one was rapidly approaching, only to be met with a light blast to the face, killing it.

as they were fighting monsters in the sky, they seemed to be never ending, with more and more of them coming out of the crystal, david was killing them in seconds, and jake was pushing them off of him, in a flash the sky became dark and out of the ruins walked a girl in a black cape, big black chains glowing red wrapped against the huge crystal as she moved her hands, almost like she was dancing. "IT WILL NOT LAST LONG, GET OVER HERE." she yelled, "shes sick." jake thought as he flew down with the child in his arms. david descended majestically and let his polearm go. "get in here, theres a protective barrier that dosent let them in" she said. in a flash david brought Isabella and ambrosia over. "WHAT TH-" they yelled as he grabbed them, everyone went into the ruins and the chains snapped off the crystal. "ARLINAA" the little kid broke off from jakes embrace and ran to hug her. "they saved me from the monsters, thank you guys." he said. "thank you for finding emilia, she was truly blessed to have been found by you guys. my name is arlina."

she took off her hood and smirked. "thats a lovely name, im david, this is jake, shes isabella and her girlfriend ambrosia, we actually came over here to examinate this crystal." arlina gave him a confused look. "well you're gonna have a hard time" arlina said. "i guess" jake whispered. 'DID YOU FIND HER??" a manly voice echoed through the ruins. "A werewolf? didn't they go extinct.?" david said in his mind. "yes we did, these four actually saved her from the monsters outside the barrier." emilia ran to her dad and he picked her up, "what did i tell you about exiting the barrier?? you may be powerful but you are no match for them." jack said to his daughter in a serious tone. "sorry.." she looked up at him with doe eyes and shed a tear, "its fine babygirl.. now go to the kitchen, i made you soup." "yes papa" the conversation ended and emilia ran to eat. "he actually defended her the most. killing the monsters that were chasing his friend and her." jack had dark brown messy wavy hair, a muscular body, ears and tail like a wolf, with beautiful tan skin. "so you were the hot shot that saved my little girl..?" his eyes locked onto david, checking him out up and down. "thank you, i could not just leave her to be murdered by such terrible beings." he said. "thank you for having a big heart gorgeous, im jack" he smirked. "enough with the flirting jack." arlina said as she slightly pushed him aside.
