Steve's P.O.V.

After the other woman left I looked back at the one she had called Carol she had sat down in one of the chairs looking heartbroken for some reason she seemed very close to me which was a bit odd but it might have been her cover. Neither of them looked like HYDRA spies but you can never be too careful. One reason I was starting to think they were telling the truth was because the one called Carol had been crying an awful lot I felt really bad about making her cry so I walked over and got the tissue from one of the bedside tables and pulled over a chair next to her and sat down in it offering her one which she took wiping her eyes. This is going to sound really corny but she was a bit pretty I felt myself blush a bit she must have noticed because she laughed a bit I looked away embarrassed. “Hey it’s okay.” She said out of the corner of my eye I saw her reach out almost as if to comfort me but then pulled back. “So explain to me a bit of what happened.” I said pretty eager to change the topic and when I looked back she looked happy about it. “Well quite a bit actually.” She responded, and that is how we spent about a half an hour until I finally worked up the nerve to ask her a question, “What is our relationship?” I saw her blush bright red and stutter a bit looking for an answer. “Well were teammates and best friends.” This just got me a bit curious I mean she had stayed here with me this whole time and cried like I had just broken her heart. I knew it might get rejected and just hurt us both in the long run but I took a leap of faith and gently held her hand. She looked like she was about to throw it off but didn’t and held it back which surprised me a bit. I really didn’t want to ruin any chances I had with her.
