Kyla looked at herself in her gown. Her white silver hair naturally put into ringlets. Her silver eyes shinning through the vail covering her face from view. Today was her wedding day. The day she had been dreaming of. But she began to worry. Was she marrying a man that really cared about her. But they had to, or else the child would be killed.
Alex remembered what would happen to the child. Just like what happened to his unborn sister.
"You look so handsome Alex." Darlene his step mother said. "She would have thought the same." Alex can still remember the terror he felt to see his own mother hanging by a rope. He would not want to see Kyla or anyone else in that situation.
Luma pov:
"Yes." I said and watched as Trott placed the diamond ring on her finger. He smiled and leaned in kissing me. He stopped and smiled looking into my eyes. "We shall keep this engagement a secret till after Alex and Kyla's wedding." Only a few days, until the secrets out.
"Kyla you ok." I asked Kyla who looked like a nervous wreck. "I'm fine just nervous about the wedding." She looked beautiful in her dress.
"The ceremony is beginning." Panda says walking in. He was going to walk Kyla down the isle because of her absent father.
"All of the guests are there and are very excited. Remember what we practiced." We nod and he sighs. We hear music begin to play and panda nods. We get in line, myself walking first preparing the way for the bride. I stop before the alter and bow before going to the brides side. I look over to see chris over at the grooms side and smile.
Everyone stands up hearing the music and look towards the doors. People begin throwing golden rose pedals as a symbol of the smith family, and welcoming a new member to the family. The bride keeps her head forward towards her soon to be husband who's wearing the royal crown and . They stop at the alter and panda gives Kyla to Alex before bowing to them. They stand before the head elder and the head priest.
"I forge these two together by law." The head elder says. Next the head priest says "and I forge these two together by god."
"Let us pray." He says opening the bible. He says the pray of marriage, and reads a bible story about commitment and the job of two people married under gods name.
"Next please, face each other and hold hands." They turn and hold hands whilst looking into each others eyes. The head elder says "if anyone is to object please stand now, or forever be silenced." The whole room stays silent. Next the head elder says "who two takes witness to the forge of them together." Me and Chris say I do at the same time. The elder nods, and says.
"Please give the rings." I pick up the ring from the pedestal, and give it to Kyla she smiles and I watch chris do the same giving it to Alex.
"Alexander, do you take Kyla to be your lovely wedded wife?" The priest asks, and Alex says "I do."
"Kyla do you take Alexander to be your lovely wedded husband?" The priest asks again, Kyla nods and says "I do."
"You may now rephrase your vows." The priest says. Alex smiles going first.
"I promise Kyla, to honor and love you. I was completely unsure about marriage until I meant you, and then I knew that I would marry you." Alex says. I look over at Chris smiling and he smiles back. I don't know how no one has found out about our engagement.
"I promise Alex, to honor and love you. I didn't know what love truly was till I meant you, but now looking into your eyes I know, what it is." Kyla says. The priest and elder smile and continue on.
"Alex repeat after me whilst putting the ring on Kyla's finger. With this ring I be wed." Alex looks at her when saying those very words and placing the ring on her finger. The ring shines, before going dim, signaling them being forged together.
"Kyla repeat after me whilst putting the ring on Alex's finger. With this ring I be wed." She does as asks, and the ring shines then dims.
"Alexander please replace her flower crown with the golden crown of serpents." Serpents represent the smith family, showing how their ready to strike at any moment. Removes the flower crown and places the golden crown on her head.
"With the power invested in us I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Both the priest and elder say. Alex moves the vail out of her face and kisses her. Everybody stands up and claps as music plays. They part and smile at each other, before walking down the isle hand and hand. Chris walks over and says "I have a suspicion." I look at him curious. He then whispers in my ear.
"Kyla's pregnant, we'll see at the party if she drinks." He mutters trying to be extra quiet around the guests. All the pieces of the puzzle fit into place. The enlarged stomach, acting weird, and sudden marriage proposal.
"Do you think it happened while she was engaged." I whisper as we walk outside. He shrugs, and says "It doesn't matter now, as long as their married everything is good." He says, I stop and look at him. The church is pretty much empty right now, all of the guests, have left and all that's left are the head elder and priest.
"What would happen if they weren't married?" I asked quietly. Chris' face goes white slightly. "Nothing good." I know what he means.
"Would they really go that far." I asked. He nods and looks at me "they'd do it the painful way too." I get Nausea at the thought of it.
"We have to be perfect. Anyway possible." He says. Looking at me. I must have looked sick or pale or something because chris brought me into a hug.
"I'm just a bit sick at the thought that's all." I say. He nods and let's go. We walk outside and walk towards the reception area.
