wrong numbers...

chapter 2

I finally got to CVS and i walked in through the back doors.

"Jalen, where have you been?! You're 3 minutes late!" My boss, Mark screamed jokingly.

"I'm sorry. I was caught up in traffic." I defended myself.

Mark was actually a pretty nice guy and I knew he was joking.

"You better not be late tomorrow Jay" He laughed. I was glad I actually had a nice boss.

"Won't happen again, sir" I said with a wink at the end of my sentence.

I went to the break room and put my things in my locker. I put my badge on and walked out to the cashier.

The business here was pretty slow, and I didn't expect anyone to come in to the store, until a group of boys, very loud, boys came into the store.

And since Mark was out at a meeting I was the only person running the store.

I watched the monitors closely to make sure they weren't stealing.

It surprised me when they turned out to be at the counter. I was turned around watching the monitor so I didn't follow their direction.

"Um, excuse me?" One of the boys said. I turned around to face 4 of the most attractive guys I have ever seen.

"You're hot." I said without noticing.

"What..?" the boy with the long curly hair said.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean it I.. I. Oh there's no use. Hi, welcome to CVS, did you find everything you needed?" I said giving up on apologizing.

That's when one of them caught my eye, he was about 6'0 tall, and had dark chocolate eyes.

"Um, actually, we needed to find the air f-fresheners..." He said, he was obviously nervous.

When he said he needed air fresheners, all of the other boys looked at him as if he was crazy.

"Yeah, um right this w- ow." I said and then I tripped.

I stood up and looked down to see what I tripped on. And of course, my vans were untied.

"Are you okay?" The boy with the chocolate eyes asked.

"Yeah, right this way." I said leading the way right to the air fresheners.

They all muttered thank you, and I made my way back to the register section.

When they came back to the register I quickly checked the items out.

The boy with the brown eyes passed a card for me to slide, in return I gave him his card and the receipt.

Little did he know the receipt said:
"☓☓☓-☓☓☓-☓☓☓☓ text me sometime :)"
