The Alpha and The Mute Mate

Chapter 14: Zarina speaks

Xavier POV:

Once I heard the story of how zar got those marks on her throat I saw red, I growled really loud and stormed outside because I couldn't hold onto my wolf any longer and If he shifted in front of my little mate and hurt her I would never forgive myself.

I heard the front door open and a couple of loud gasps and I knew why to its because my wolf is huge and it even towers over my dads wolf form and he was a alpha; I looked around for the one person that could keep me calm and when I didn't see her I let out a long vicious snarl and was about to charge into the house and look for her until my ears perked up at a little sound and I snapped my head in to that direction, it was small and a little but with my were-wolf hearing I heard it and it made me want to cry.

" Xavier" Zar said quietly and when I looked around I seen everyone's faces they either had shocked or amazed looks on their faces. I looked at her dad and I seen tears in his eyes. He was about to run up to her and hug her but I growled at him and stood in front of her and got into a attack position.

"Xavier Michael Snow" I heard my mom shout at me.

I was still growling at her dad an it all stopped when I felt small arms wrap around my neck and a head nuzzle into my fur I turned my head where I stuck my muzzle in her neck and purred, I calmed down enough to where I can shift back and when I did I saw zar blush and looked a way and I had to smile at that.  I felt my dad throw me some shorts and I put them on and took zar's hand and took her into the house and set her on the couch with her on my lap.

" Zar, are you ok?" I whispered in her ear

she shook her head and tried to speak some more "yes I am" She said softly

After everything got settled we decided that zar should rest so she could try to speak again tomorrow when she is ready. Her mom and dad was staying the night since they are a few hours away from us, we all said goodnight and went to bed. I went to my room where my mate was and saw her asleep on my bed which is going to be ours soon, I changed into my pj bottoms and climbed into bed and wrapped my arm around her waist and she snuggled into me.

" Good Night mate" I whispered and fell asleep with my mate in my arms.
