The Kirigun household was still wrapped in the quiet melancholy that had settled there since the incident at the Therapanyukuls .The garden flowers drooped under the morning air, and inside, the living room only lit by the soft glow of the morning sun
Rain sat curled on the couch, one hand absently rubbing his belly, his face pale but calmer than before. Upstairs, Type and Tharn were in Rain’s room, finishing their conversation about making him feel less forgotten.
The sound of a car pulling up drew their attention. Moments later, a knock echoed at the door.
Rain: Who could that be…?”
Before he could move, Type opened the door and there stood Sky and Charlie, dressed neatly, hands full of envelopes adorned with gold-pressed lettering.
Sky: Sawasdee krub, uncle, auntie. We… came to bring something.
Behind him, Charlie nodded politely, though there was nervousness in his eyes.
Tharn welcomed them in, guiding them to sit. Rain, realizing who it was, tried to rise from the couch, but Sky hurried over to steady him, slipping an arm around his best friend’s shoulders.
Sky: Hey, sit down. Don’t push yourself.
Rain: I’m not that fragile, Sky. But… thanks.
Charlie, watching the quiet exchange, cleared his throat before offering the envelopes.
Charlie: We came to bring the wedding invitations. One for you, Rain… and for you uncle too.
Type took them carefully, looking at the gold details, his brows lifting slightly. Tharn glanced at him, then at Rain, waiting for his reaction.
Rain held the envelope in his trembling hands, staring at the beautiful lettering for a long time. His lips quivered, but instead of tears, a soft smile spread across his face.
Rain: So it’s real now… my best friends are getting married.
Sky’s eyes softened, though guilt lingered in the back of his mind. He sat closer, pressing their shoulders together.
Sky: I wouldn’t have gotten this far without you. And I want you there, Rain. Not just as a guest… but as family.
Rain’s breath hitched, his hand tightening over his stomach.
Rain: I’ll be there. I promise. For both of you.
Charlie shifted, his voice careful, as though trying to measure each word.
Charlie: You don’t have to force yourself if it’s too painful. We’d understand.
Rain turned to him, his smile faint but steady.
Rain: Charlie… don’t worry about me. You should only think about Babe and the baby. And you, Sky you deserve happiness. Don’t let my sadness weigh down your joy. Venice… would want you both to be happy too.
The room fell quiet for a moment. Sky’s throat tightened, and he leaned his head gently against Rain’s, his eyes closing briefly.
Type, watching from the side, felt his chest swell with a mix of pain and pride. He looked at Tharn, whose expression mirrored his own sorrow, but also admiration for their son’s strength.
Tharn: Look at him… our boy’s stronger than we ever imagined.
Type’s hand brushed over Tharn’s softly, nodding.
Type: He is. Even when everyone else turned their backs, he found a way to stand. I’ve never been prouder.
Rain, though still smiling, kept one hand tightly pressed over his belly his quiet reminder of the life that gave him reason to endure.

The glass doors of Zee’s company headquarters gleamed in the late morning sun as Sky pushed them open. The receptionist bowed politely, recognizing him instantly, and within minutes he was ushered up to the top floor.
