The next morning, the world woke to chaos.
Every news channel screamed the same headlines in bold letters:
“THERAPANYUKUL EMPIRE COLLAPSES!”
“Mafia Prince Phoenix Prapai Therapanyukul DEAD.”
“DRUG & WEAPONS TRAFFICKING EMPIRE EXPOSED KINGPINS BEHIND BARS.”
Clips rolled across screens armed men storming the grand wedding hall, guests fleeing in panic, the blood-stained floors. Anchors spoke in urgent voices, recounting betrayal, violence, and downfall. Reporters swarmed the gates of the mansion, once untouchable, now silent and suffocating under its own ruins.
And then, the breaking headline that silenced even the chatter of the newsroom:
“Phoenix Prapai Therapanyukul confirmed dead at age 28”
In the hospital, Sky sat upright on his bed, cradling his newborn daughter. He hadn’t expected the TV to be on, hadn’t expected the nurse to forget the remote.
But when he heard Phoenix’s name his cousin, his blood his body stiffened. The world blurred. The child slipped from his arms, a nurse rushing in just in time. Sky’s lips parted, but no words came out. His eyes rolled back, his body went completely limp, the machines at his side beeping in alarm.
The empire was burning. And now, even its children were collapsing with it.

The financial collapse was merciless.
Within hours, stock prices plummeted. Companies that once stood as untouchable giants were in shambles. Entire subsidiaries media, construction, imports filed for bankruptcy. The empire that had taken generations to build fell in mere days, like a tower of cards collapsing under its own corruption.
And then came the arrests.
Kim, Vegas, and Kinn faces once revered as mafia royalty were dragged before flashing cameras in chains. Their charges were read out in cold, damning voices: illegal drug distribution, international arms smuggling, conspiracy to murder.
The footage played on repeat, the three men silent, their pride shattered under the weight of betrayal and exposure.
The hospital doors opened quietly that same day, and someone walked in a silhouette cloaked in secrecy. Their hands shook as they held the results of a test they had taken in private, away from the chaos, away from the empire’s ruin.
Pregnant. Two months.
Their lips quivered as they pressed a hand over their stomach, eyes welling with tears. Whoever this person was, their child carried another legacy one that could either save what was left of the empire… or damn it further.

Days later, as the storm raged on, the impossible happened.
The news announced it first: “Former mafia heads Kinn, Kim, and Vegas mysteriously bailed out.” No name, no face. Just a faceless benefactor with power enough to free them when the world wanted their heads.
The three men sat in silence in the back of a black car, hands heavy, futures uncertain. None of them spoke. None dared to.
And then
The car phone rang.
Kinn hesitated, then answered.
A small voice came through, trembling but steady enough to pierce through the silence:
“…Dad?”
The line went dead quiet.
Kim’s eyes widened. Vegas leaned forward. But Kinn his face froze, every muscle locked, his grip on the phone so tight his knuckles went white.
“son?”
The word echoed
The headlines had not slowed down. If anything, they screamed louder by the day. The world was watching, eager to see the empire buried in the ashes of its sins.

Days later, Phoenix’s funeral was held.
The weather matched the mood gray skies, heavy with rain that refused to fall.
But the ceremony was chaos. Fights broke out among mourners whispers of betrayal, of dishonor, of whether Phoenix had died a hero or a traitor.
Some came only to mock, others to spit on the Therapanyukul name. Reporters swarmed, their cameras flashing, feeding the circus.
Pete stood in silence the entire time, his tears hidden, his face blank. Porsche broke again and again until Tankhun held him up by sheer force. Sky and Rain, too weak from birth, could not attend though perhaps that was a mercy.
And through it all, one truth lingered: Phoenix, the storm of their family, was gone.
Yet no one could grieve him in peace.
The world had buried the Therapanyukul but Mos and Babe would not let it die.
For the sake of the empire.
For the sake of blood.
Together, they faced the gavel, the press, the bloodthirsty media.
“On behalf of the Therapanyukul family,” their lawyer spoke, “we contest these charges, and we demand what is rightfully ours.”
The cameras flashed. Reporters screamed questions. But Babe did not flinch. His hand rested briefly over his now flat stomach, grounding himself, while Mos’s eyes burned with a fire far older than his years.
It wasn’t just about power.
It wasn’t just about money.
It was about reclaiming what was stolen. About proving that the Therapanyukul name would not die in shame.
