At the long table sat the Therapanyukuls and the MaxNats, facing one another not as enemies, not even as skeptics, but as parents who loved their children and carried their losses.

Charlie sat close to Babe, their hands hidden beneath the table, fingers linked nervously. Babe’s other hand rested on his growing belly. On the side, Sky sat near Phoenix, shoulders drawn but eyes sharp, watching everyone.

It was Kinn who began.

Kinn:We’re here to talk about the weddings. Babe and Charlie… and Sky and Phoenix. Both unions matter to this family, and both carry weight after everything we’ve endured. We need clarity, and above all, we need unity.

Max leaned forward slightly, his tone cautious but not combative.

Max:We only worry about rushing things. Venice’s passing is still raw for all of us. The world will not understand   they’ll think we are dishonoring his memory.

Babe swallowed hard at that, his gaze falling to the table. Charlie gently squeezed his hand under it, his jaw tight with determination.

Porsche: Mr Max people will always fail to understand and it's best that we for once ignore what they'll say about this ..........let's only focus on our families

At that, silence fell. Even Babe whose eyes had been cast down on the table, glanced up at Phoenix, his expression unreadable.

Nat’s lips pressed together before softening into something almost maternal.

Nat:If Rain can say that… if he, in his pain, can bless this… then we will not stand in the way.

Charlie lifted his gaze to her, eyes glassy. Babe turned to his mother with a trembling smile, the first genuine one he’d shown in weeks.

Porsche :Then it’s settled. We prepare for two weddings. Not as distractions from grief… but as a reminder that there’s still life here. Still family.

For the first time in days, a hum of agreement passed through the table. No raised voices, no accusations — just an understanding, fragile but real.

Kinn turned his gaze to Sky.

Kinn:Sky. We’ll need you to reach out to your parents. They should be here. They should see their son’s happiness, and stand with us as family.

Sky froze, his lips parting slightly. His parents… it had been years since he had last sat with them without anger clouding the air. But he nodded slowly, Phoenix’s hand brushing reassuringly against his.

Sky :I’ll bring them. If this family can find peace, maybe mine can too.

The meeting ended up not with slammed doors or harsh words, but with a sense of quiet resolve. For the first time, the Therapanyukul house carried not only sorrow, but the faintest glimmer of anticipation   for vows yet to be spoken, for lives yet to be joined.

Sky sat alone in the courtyard late that night, the garden lights faint against the darkness. The sound of cicadas filled the silence as he stared at his phone, thumb hovering over the call button.

It had been so long. Too long.

He took a deep breath, pressed the button, and brought the phone to his ear.

The line clicked, and for a moment only silence filled the air. Then a deep voice answered, hesitant.

Zee : Sky?

Sky’s chest tightened at the sound. He had imagined anger, disappointment but instead, it was cautious warmth.

Sky : hi....... it’s me.
