A week had passed after the engagement with all the families helping in preparing for the wedding Charlie on the other had gone with his Mae to pick up his suit

The measurements had been done some good days back and the suit was now ready . The two had spent about two good hours as they not only went for the suit but also went grocery shopping

They Spent their lunch their and where on their way back when they saw an ice cream truck Nat knowing his son well decided to drop by

The both went out with the body guards following but keeping a good distance from them

They ordered the ice creams and decided to have them in the near by park Nat looked around at the small children who kept playing with their family some with their mothers

Charlie looking at this smiled sadly knowing what his mother was thinking about he moved his hand and placed it on the others while gently caressing it

Charlie: it's okay

He whispered as his mother gave a sad smile with few tears falling Charlie on the other hand moved closer to his mother bringing his small figure in his as he kissed the top of his head

Charlie: you're the best mommy anyone could ever wish for and am so grateful that God gave me to you coz I know there's nothing more beautiful than you being in my life

The other listening to his son's words cried more thinking that at least he had something that could still keep him alive and going apart from his husband

Nat: I love you son

Charlie: I love you more Mae now stop crying okay

The older nodded and sat back straight while wiping his tears that seemed to stop coming out

They sat by the bench and watched the other families while remembering their own time when Charlie was still young

They were still talking when suddenly to Charlie's phone rang looking at the caller ID he moves to answer it as it was none other than Rain whom he was supposed to have a meeting with
In the next 30 minutes

Nat was sitting looking at the children playing when he  suddenly saw a young man walking towards who knows where looking weak and holding onto something really close

He saw the other about to fall and suddenly want to help he held the other and guided him to the bench

Charlie on the other side kept on looking at his mother time from time and saw that the other had company not minding much he went back to speaking with Rain

Nat asked the other if he wanted water or anything but the other just shook his head not saying anything and gave him the pile of clothes he was holding

Before Nat could do anything or ask what the clothes that looked many were for the younger ran to the road and before he could register what was happening the younger was seen flying to the other side of the road as a car ran him over

Everyone rushed to the scene even charlie who saw his mother heading towards the place . The person who ran him over stopped the car and quickly carried him with Nat rushing to his son to ask that they follow that car

He went in the car and drove off as he followed the car when they reached the hospital the younger was taken straight to the ICU while Nat and Charlie stood outside together with the driver waiting

After what felt like hours they all sat in the corridor when Charlie asked his mother when he saw movements on the elders lap that was filled with clothes

Getting out from his zoned out mode he looked where his son was looking and before he could do anything a small cry came from the rugs

He thought he heard wrong till he saw
his son and the drivers questioning look he slowly opened the rugs only to be met with a beautiful sight of a little human who looked quite small as if it was just a day or hours old
