Chapter 45

Harry's POV

I just got back from the kitchens with Dobby, and I couldn't find Draco. He just disappeared along with Hermione. I wold have to find him after the second task, because I can't miss it.
I raced to my dorm to put on my bathing suit, and then to the Lake, where people were just starting to get there.
I stood there, and saw Cedric eyeing me. What is with everyone and liking me so much?! I'm taken, back off. I mean, really.
"Hey Harry." He said, and biting his lip as he walked over. Shit. I didn't have Draco. I didn't know how to tell people to go away.
"Hi Cedric." I said, looking at the Lake.
"You know, they say that the person you care most about is suppose to be in the Lake." He told me, watching the Lake. Then it hit me. That's why Draco was missing.
"And you know what?" He said, and I looked at him. "I asked if mine could be you, they said no because you were a contestant." He said, and put his hand on my cheek, walking away. Wait. What?!
My eyes widened, and I whipped my head around.
"Cedric!" I yelled. He turned around, smirking. "Why did you do that?"
"Isn't it obvious?" He said, walking closer. "You should be with me."
"What?! I have a boyfriend! You're like 4 years older than me! And I have a boyfriend!! I'm sorry, but I don't think of you like that." I told him, and walked away.
He grabbed my wrist, and I winced involuntarily. I whipped my head around.
"You're right, it was stupid. I'm going to keep fighting for you though," he said smiling, and winked.
"Cedric!" I said, but he didn't listen "let me go." I said and tried wiggling away. I yanked my hand away from him, and slapped his arm. I stormed off out of sight. Ugggghhhh.
Soon enough, the whistle blew, and we started. I dove in the water after eating the Gillyweed, and swam.
I got to a little underwater village, and eventually there was a swarm of merpeople around it. They looked scary, in not going to lie.
I swam over, and saw Cho, Draco, Hermione, and some blonde girl. Krum came over to grab Hermione, and then Cedric came to get Cho. He winked at me, and swam away. I grimaced at him.
I quickly swam down to get a rock, and went back. Fleur still wasn't there.
I looked at them, and untied Draco by scraping at the rope with the sharp rock, then went to the girl. I was stopped, however, when a merperson came up to me and put a golden Sword to my neck.
"Only one." It hissed, and I made my choice.
I swam underneath the sword, and went to the little girl, untying it. Then the merpeople attacked me, pulling me lower and lower.

Draco's POV

I felt like I was in a coma. My vision was black, but I could feel myself being lifted up. I couldn't breathe, and that made me sorta panic. Because, you know, suffocating isn't really that good for your health.
But suddenly, I came from underneath water. I took a deep breath. I coughed as I looked around, and Saw that I was in the black lake. I looked up, and saw Krum with Hermione, and she was over the edge looking in the water. I saw Cedric, who was looking at me wit death eyes, and Cho. Then Fleur, who was bawling her eyes out.
Then another girl popped up. I jumped, and she was splashing around.
"SHE CAN'T SWIM!" Fleur screamed in her thick accent.
I swam over to the girl, and calmed her down.
"Sshhh. It's okay, you can trust me. Here, grab on-" I said and stretched my arm out, hugging her close to my side. She was shaking, and breathing heavily. She clutched into my clothes hard.
I swam us over to the wooden stand, having Professors help us get up and out of the water.
"You okay?" I said as I walked over to the little girl. She nodded, and hugged me.
"Thank you!" She exclaimed. I smiled, and gave her a hug. Fleur came over, and kissed my cheek.
"Thank you." She said, and turned to her sister. I looked back to see everyone.
I waited for a little while, and soon enough, everyone was in tears.
Harry wasn't back yet.
I looked in the water, and he wasn't anywhere. The clock struck an hour, and that was all he had to breathe for.
"No. No no no no." I said and got up.
"Get him out of there!" I screamed, tearing up.
"We don't know where he is," someone started out.
"BULLSHIT! GET HIM BACK!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. He looked at me shocked, and I remained in my red faced scowl.
"I can assure you. We're doing everything we can." Some other guy said. That made me even more angry.
"And I can assure you, if my boyfriend dies under your watch, my foot will be up your ass!" I yelled at that minimum waged guy.
"Ugh! I though you knew hat you morons were doing!" I said under my breath, storming away. A few tears went down my face.
Then Harry came shooting from the water. He held onto the side of the floor, and Krum helped him up. He was panting, and coughing up water.
"Harry!" I screeched, and ran over to him.
He was shivering horribly, and smiled at me with his teeth clattering.
"H-hi Dra-c-co." He shuddered out.
I took off my towel, and wrapped it around him. I hugged him to my chest, and helped him try to warm up. Hermione came rushing over, and gave him his towel. He was still shaking, and I kissed is head.
"They dragged me down before I could get up. The merepeople said something about me breaking the rules by sending up both you and that girl." He said, and then coughed violently into his arm.
"For saving both Draco Malfoy and Gabrielle Delacour, Harry Potter shall be awarded... Second place." A voice rang.
Everyone screamed and clapped, and I kissed Harry with my hands on his face. He smiled at me, and hugged me.
We made our way back, with my arm around Harry's waist. He had his head on my shoulder, and he wasn't shaking as violently anymore.
Cedric came up from behind us, and- wait. No. He didn't. Oh fuck no. He did not.
He slapped his ass. My Harry's ass. What the fuck.
"Hey!" Harry squeaked, and held onto me tighter.
"What do you think you're doing?" I yelled at him. He turned around, and wagged his eyebrows. He turned back around and walked down the hallway.
"Ugh. I knew people were going to do this." Harry cried, and put his head in my shoulder.
I took him to our dorm, and ran a bath. I stripped down to nothing, and walked out to Harry as the same. I motioned to the bathroom, and he grinned, walking in.
I climbed in with him, and hugged him to my chest. My legs were on either side of him, and I wrapped my arms around his waist. He had his hands on my thighs.
He leaned his head back into my shoulder, and I put my chin on his neck.
"He hit on me earlier." Harry said out of nowhere. I made my grip more firm, and turned to see him looking down sadly. "He hit on me, and when I told him I was taken and that I didn't like him and told him there was a 3 or 4 year age difference, he just said he'd keep fighting for me. I tried walking away, and then he put his hand on my cheek, he grabbed my wrist-" he put his face in his hands.
"And he had a hard grip. I was scared, Draco. Not just scared, terrified. I didn't know what to do. I tried yelling at him to let go, but I had to yank my arm away from him and slap him. Then he hit my arse in the hallway, and I don't like it!" He cried, and turned around to hug me.
I hugged Harry tightly, and he sniffled. I felt horrible. Cedric was scaring Harry, and I wasn't there to help him when he needed it. I was so mad. He's hitting on him and grabbing him. I thought he was nice? Apparently not!
"Please don't break up with me." My eyes widened when he said that.
I quickly grabbed his face in my hands, and made him come face to face with me. His face was red and tear stained, and his lips wobbled.
"Harry. I would never." I told him and kissed away his tears. "I love you so much, and I'll never leave you. I promise." I told him and kissed his forehead. He grinned sadly, but returned the 'I love you' back to me.
"But I know one of these days, one of them will snap. Cedric, Cho, Ginny, one of them, maybe all of them, will force themselves on me one day. I don't want that to happen. I feel like I'm going to be raped one of these days. I have to keep looking over my shoulder, making sure that no one will try to trip me or hit on me." He said and put his head in my neck.
"If that does happen, can I fight one of them? And then like hex them and beat their asses until they pass out? Oh and scream at them?" I asked him casually, and he roared with the laugh I love.
"Sure." He said chuckling.
"Excellent." I said and did a fake evil laugh, getting more laughter from him.
I brought him out of he tub, and put a drying spell on us.
I don't even bother putting on anything. Neither did Harry, considering we've seen each other naked before.
We climbed into bed, and pulled Harry with me. He snuggled up into my chest, and put his arms and legs around my body. I wrapped my arms around his torso, and brought him close.
"I swear, if Cedric does that again, hex him." I told him, and he nodded.
I made a noise that made Harry laugh, and I kept doing stuff that made him giggle.

I spent the night making him laugh the lively laugh I love.
