JESSICA'S POV:
"Close the door, there's a man with a loaded gun outside on the streets!" I yelled through tears.
"It's fine Jessica," my mother calmly told me while keeping our basement door and garage open.
"No it's not fine!" I kept screaming. All of a sudden I started to hear footsteps and my heart was racing. Before I knew it the man entered our house, gun in hand. I grabbed the closest thing I could find, which unfortunately was a raincoat. I used the raincoat as a shield, but that did nothing.
"JESSICA!" I heard my mom yell.
I sat up and opened my eyes; bringing my hands up to my damp face. I was crying in my sleep. Turning my head slightly to the side, I noticed that it was 4:52 in the morning. Even though Alex wouldn't be up right now I decided to text her.
Jessica: it happened again.
The dream got me so shaken up that I didn't want to go back to sleep. I got out of bed and went downstairs to make a cup of warm tea.
"Jessica? Sweetie what are you doing up at this hour?" My mom entered the kitchen.
"Couldn't sleep," I simply answered which was partly true. She nodded her head and walked back to her room.
I thought this was over, why is it coming back. When I was younger my mom told me that I would cry in my sleep frequently. I read online that if one cries in their sleep, it's thought of as a negative thing and it's caused by lack of feelings. If you keep all your emotions bundled up and don't talk to anyone about it, it is possible that you will cry in your sleep because when you're sleeping, you're mind is free and sleeping is where one find true release from life. It just doesn't make sense though; I've talked about it with Alex, Zoe, Spencer and Drake before. Once I finished my tea, I headed back to my bedroom and attempted to fall asleep.

"Maybe it was just a one time thing," Alex said as Zoe, Alex and I were getting ready for the Halloween party.
"But it use to happen a lot," Zoe reminded Alex.
"Any stress in your life Jessica?" Alex asked.
"Not that I'm aware of."
"Let's just focus on how fun tonight will be," Zoe changed the conversation.
We all took one last look at our costumes and headed out to the car. Zoe was a pirate, Alex was a ladybug and I was a carhop.
Before we even set foot into Drake's house we could hear music blaring. We walked up to the front door and it was wide open. There were so many people here, although Drake only invited our grade I'm sure word got around and there are people from every grade here.
"Here babe have a drink," a guy with no shirt on gave me a red cup.
"No thank you," I walked away to find someone I knew.
"Hello beautiful," Matt walked up behind me dressed up as a vampire.
"Hey Matt; cool costume," I complemented his fake teeth, face paint and his costume in general.
"Ditto," he looked at my outfit and then back up to my face.
"This place looks awesome," I admired all of Drake's hard work to transform his house.
