Genuine question: do people still read this book?
So recently I've been writing this other book on my main account @missweetmisery , "Heartbreak Confessions", and I actually borrowed a bit from this book's plot of the whole I forgot that we've met before, DID YOU REMEMBER THE WHOLE TIME WHILE I WAS OBLIVIOUS? Wait, should I tell you that I remember that we met once before? What if you don't remember and I sound like a fool? Oh no, I fear I've fallen in love with you, MAKE IT STOP, I REFUSE TO FALL IN LOVE AHHHHHH.
And then there's the antagonist who's the protagonist's former crush but he's like manipulative af and literally getting in the way of the love story cause he suddenly has feelings for the protagonist ig but he does NOT deserve her AT ALL so I was like HOLD UP, THAT SOUNDS ONCE AGAIN LIKE MY EVERYTHING LMAO. Like he's the Quibble.
For some reason My Everything has become the backbone for my present day novels?? That's crazy but also so bittersweet 🥺
I feel like my writing has evolved a lot since 2020 which is when I wrote this book. I re-read the most recent chapter I ever posted for My Everything and the vibe was 100% that of a high schooler rather than thirteen year old ( innocent ) me guessing what a typical teenager sounds like. Now that I'm older, I'm a bit more better at writing ( I'm a songwriter, makes sense ) and maybe you'd be interested in checking out my more latest novel on my main account so that you can sort of get the vibe of my new writing style I've developed.
So I wonder if my writing style has changed too much to actually conclude My Everything once and for all. Like it deserves a proper ending but as a perfectionist it lowkey bothers me how different Chapter 23 was in comparison to everything that came before it 😭 AND THAT'S LITERALLY FROM A YEAR OR TWO AGO, NO?
Give me a few months and I'll whip up a new chapter for My Everything. I wish I had time to re-write it in general. Although I cringe at the writing style, I can't deny that My Everything has clearly inspired my present day work, such as Heartbreak Confessions and Do You Get Deja Vu Too? I mean technically I wrote Deja Vu when I was 12 but ponified the plot for this. I took that book down cause I'm re-writing it, I'm a major perfectionist!!
