His Human Mate

19- Missed it*

Sebastian's POV

I left the note on my pillow and kissed Kimber's forehead and her belly over the blankets. I walked out of the room and met up with Finn and Grey. We left and shifted in the woods. It was a town over but was connected through the woods.

Running by wolf it would take an hour and a half. By car it would take about 2 hours. Besides I needed to let my wolf out. We all did.

We shifted back and walked up to the patrol wolves. "I'm Alpha Sebastian Black from the Blood Shed pack. This is my Beta Finn and my best fighter Grey."

I showed them my Alpha mark and they shifted back, "Follow us." We followed them and a man who looked to be in his 30's walked out of the house. We both stopped in front of eachother.

"Alpha Sebastian. Were expecting an attack today. Since your mate is human I would have thought you would bring her here."

"No. She's 9 months besides. There's rogues attacking here that puts her and our kid in danger. Use your brain Alpha Craig."

How stupid could he be? This place will become a battle field. My land won't become that.

"Right. Is it only you three helping us?"

"No. I wanted to see if your pack actually did get attacked. I know lot's of packs want to take mine down so I wanted to check first."

"Okay. Let's head to the pack hospital."

We followed him there with caution of course. Injured people were over flowed outside of rooms and nurses and doctors were running all over the place.

He turned to us, "You see. Most of my pack is either dead or in here," I nodded.

"If this is a trick you will pay I hope you know this. Even if I die."

'Get about 20 warriors over to Alpha Craigs pack land. Be quick.' I mind-linked the pack, "Done."

Just then a guard came running up to us, "Alpha there are hundreds of rogues penetrating the border. I don't think this was a random attack. Their coming in fast too."

"Go collect the people un-able to shift and get them to the safe house!" I then watched his eyes glaze over and only about 30 people came out ready to fight.

'Make it 30 people. The rogues are attacking now! Get here now!'

'Yes Alpha. Were almost there. We've been pushing it so we can get there in less than an hour and a half.'

'Good. Attack them on your way in.'

I shifted as did Finn and Grey. I know that us three will do everything in our power to stop us from dying.

I seen everybody else shift and then watch rogues emerge from the trees. We ran for them and started attacking. I ripped throat after throat and kept going. It had been about 15 minutes and I seen my warriors attack rogues they were running next to.

I looked over at Finn and Grey and put on my wolf smirk. The rogues were falling and some retreated. Soon they were all retreating except for 2. They both attacked Grey.

I watched and one sunk it's teeth into his leg and pulled him down. Me and Finn ran to help and I grabbed the one that bit Grey's leg. As I was attacking the rogue a mindlink came into my mind.

'Alpha the Luna's in labor and she's a couple seconds away from being able to push!'

'I'm going as fast as I can.'

I attacked the rogue and Finn noticed the worried look on my face as I circled the rogue. I seen the rogue put on a wolfy smirk. He thought I was worried about being killed by him. Funny.

'What's wrong man?'

'The best thing that could ever happen to me is happening...And I'm gonna miss it all.'

'She's ready to push!'

'Shit man. Just rip and dash.'

I stopped circling with the wolf and stood there. He stopped and lunged at me. I ducked his mouth and then bit his neck. I just held on it it ripped off from the power of his lunge. He literally dropped dead and I ran off into the woods.

I'm missing it. I can't believe I'm gonna miss it. I should have never left her. I should have just sent them with a warrior in my place.

'Let me take over. I can run faster since it's my form.'

'Fine.'

I was pushed to the back while my wolf took over. We instantly ran faster.

I got back control and I shifted back and ran into the pack hospital. I seen Lucy holding Zach outside what I'm guessing is Kimbers room.

Lucy looked up at me and smiled, "He's next to her. She gave birth about 10 minutes ago. She's sleeping right now. Go on in. Go meet your son."

I nodded and walked in. My eyes landed on Kimber sleeping peacefully and then I moved my eyes to our son. I walked up to the sleeping baby and picked him up slowly. He did look like a Ryder though.

He opened his eyes and they were just like mine. I smiled down at him and sat next to Kimber in the chair. Before I sat down I placed a kiss on Kimbers forehead.

She stirred and opened her eyes. She turned her head and smiled down at me. I couldn't help but feel guilty and sad.

It didn't even reach 1000 words. Sorry guys but I said it might come out today and it almost didn't. Some of you probably won't even see it till tomorrow anyways. But it's out now. This story is coming to an end soon though.
