Mitch

It has been 2 weeks since the day I told them the truth.
Every night she has been haunting my dreams. I don't know how but it feels like she is planting them in my mind. I can't tell if they are memories, dreams or... Visions. From what I have seen through some of them I am praying they aren't visions.
I walked into the living room and was met by Scott, along with everyone else. I came to a halt. They all turned and looked at me.
"Hey. We are all going to breakfast." Scott said.
"You all can go without me. I am not hungry." I said.
Scott shook his head sadly and everyone looked at me.
"Mitch. You need to eat." Scott said
"I am really not hungry."
"You have barely eaten anything in 2 weeks."
I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.
"I am fine." I said. Truth is I have been to worried to focus on eating. Just thinking about food makes me feel sick.
"Mitch... You need to take care of yourself."
"I am doing fine!"
"No you aren't!" Scott said with frustration.
He stood up and grabbed my hand.
"Come with me. I need to see something."
He walked me into the bathroom and asked me to step on his scale. I squeezed his hand and stepped on.
I looked at the number and frowned.
I stepped off and stepped on again. But it read the same number. It was just about 20 lbs less then it was two weeks ago. Scott picked me up into a hug.
"I am sorry Scott... I didn't realize." I said lying my head on my shoulder.
He gave my small body a small squeeze.
"It's okay... Just please take care of yourself." He said looking into my eyes. I gave him a peck on the lips.
"I will try. Now let's go get some breakfast." I said, dropping from his arms but keeping his hand in mine. We walked out into the living room and I grabbed my coat. Scott and I followed Avi, Kevin and Kirstie to our cars. The three of them drove in Avi's car and Scott and I drove in Scott's. After about 20 minutes of talking and singing we arrived at a small cafe.
"This is my favorite place." Kirstie said with a smile. We all walked in and sat at a small corner booth. I was on the end next to Scott.
"Are you all ready to order?" A tall brunette man asked while flipping open a small notepad.
"I will have the ham and cheese quiche please." I said, setting my menu at the corner of the table. Once everyone ordered he took our menus and walked away. We were all talking about random things and I could tell they were all avoiding asking me about my situation. It was Kirstie who finally worked up the nerve to ask me.
"Mitch?" She asked.
"Hm?" I said while looking at he over my water glass.
"How are things going with..."
"Them?" I asked quietly while raising an eyebrow.
She nodded and everyone's eyes were on me.
I shook my head. "I don't know. She has been following me. She hasn't done anything yet besides sending me images and memories through my dreams." I said taking a sip of water.
"What has been happening in the dreams...?" Kirstie asked. I was about to answer but the waiter came with our food. I thanked him and he smiled at me before walking away. I grabbed my fork and began eating, hoping they forgot Kirstie's question. But as usual I was wrong.
"So Mitch... Your dreams?" Scott asked squeezing my hand. I frowned and took another bite.
"Not here." Was all I said and I continued eating. They all looked at me and I just stared at my food.
They were quiet for a minute before changing the subject, all the while I ate in silence just thinking about her.
"Mitchie..." A female voice sang. My head flew up and I looked around the room, trying to find who said my name.
"Mitch." Avi said.
"Hmm?" I asked bringing my attention back to them.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Nothing." I said.
"Mitchie..." I looked around again but saw no one.
They said it again but it was louder this time. I got on my knees and looked over the top of the booth at the table next to me but it was empty. I sat back down and shook my head. The voice spoke again and it sounded like it was in my head. I put my head on Scott's shoulder and squeezed my eyes shut while grasping onto his arm. He ran his fingers through my hair.
"Come on Mitch. We're going home." Scott said. I nodded into his shirt but didn't lift my head. I looked up and set enough money to pay for everyone's meals and stood up, heading outside. I heard someone call my name but I kept walking right out the door. Once I got into the car I set my head on the dashboard. I glanced out the window and saw Scott talking to Avi Kevin and Kirstie. I shook my head and pulled my knees to my chest, lying my head on them.
I heard the door open and felt a hand on my back. I looked over and saw Scott sitting in the seat next to me.
He removed his hand and started the car.
"Everyone else is coming back to our place..." He said.
I nodded and looked at him.
"What happened?" He asked
"Someone kept singing my name." I said. He shook his head and glanced my way.
"You're going to be okay..." He said patting my leg.
I nodded my head halfheartedly but kept my eyes glued to my lap.
The rest of the ride was silent, both of us lost in thought. When we got to the apartment he parked the car and reached over, pulling me into a hug.
He let go as everyone else pulled up. I smiled at him and exited the car. He walked over to my side and grabbed my hand before leading everyone into the apartment. We all piled onto the couch and I sat on Scott's lap to make it so we all could fit.
"So Mitch... Tell us about your dreams." Avi said. I sighed and laid my head on Scott's shoulder.

Scott

I grabbed Mitch's hand and led him up to our apartment door. We walked in and everyone else followed. I sat down on the couch and everyone else sat, Mitch sitting in my lap. I smiled. I am so in love with this boy.
"So Mitch... Tell us about your dreams." Avi said and everyone turned their eyes to the beautiful boy in my lap. He let out a sigh and let his head fall onto my shoulder. I couldn't help but to kiss his head and grab his hand to let him know I was here for him.
"I keep having dreams about her killing Bennett. I keep seeing the same thing over and over. I have also been seeing her when she was alive... I always told myself that evil doesn't truly exist but seeing the things she has done..." He took a shaky breath and I felt him squeeze my hand. "I keep seeing her doing things... To me..." He said. Everyone's eyes were glued to Mitch and Kirstie had tears in the corner of her eyes. I wrapped my arms around Mitch's waist and pulled him close to my chest.
"What does she do to you Mitch..?" Kirstie asked, her voice wavering a bit.
His eyes met hers.
"The same thing as last time... But worse." Kirstie's head fell into her hands and she let out a sob. They never actually told us what happened to Mitch that night... All I really know on the matter is that Mitch made it out from that situation half dead with the word Regret forever carved into his chest.
Everyone was quiet. Mitch shivered in my arms.
"I'll be right back, I am going to get a jacket." He said and he slid off my lap and made his way to his room.
"So Kirstie... What exactly happened that night..." Kevin asked. She shook her head and I suddenly heard the very loud sound of a door being slammed and fists pounding on a door and we all jumped.
"SCOTT!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!" Mitch screamed and we all jumped up and ran. I tried to open his door but it wouldn't budge.
"PLEASE!" He yelled
"MITCH! What is going on!?!" I yelled back slamming into the door.
"She's here! She locked me in! Please save me!!!" He cried. I heard Kirstie sobbing but I just kept slamming into the door over and over.
"SCOTT!!!" He screamed "PLEASE HUR-" his voice was cut short and I heard a thump.
"MITCH!!!" I screamed and ran at the door again and this time it flew open.
And there lied Mitch.
