Chapter 14 : Unfair Advantage

Ryu wearily rushed to help Sasuke, but he passed out before he could reach them. Luckily Sakura noticed him and dragged him next to Naruto. After she treated their wounds she set traps to protect herself. About 30 minutes later 3 people appeared. They were from the sound village. The leader announced that they were here for Sasuke. After triggering the trap they avoided it and Kin (the female) grabbed Sakura's hair. Sakura cut off her hair and attacked the sound ninja, but it was 3 against 1 a very big disadvantage for Sakura. When things got hopeless Lee appeared to save her. The tables have turned. Never mind Lee was knocked out in 5 minutes. The sound ninja turned to Sakura and before they could attack her Ino and her team showed up. Sakura said "yay?" And Ino yelled back "Why make that a question?" Sakura replied "well, honestly you guys are the worst team from this year. You're even in the yearbook under the most likely to die in a mission section of the book." Ino tried to reply and Kin saw it as an opening and attacked. Ino became scared and instantly switched minds with her opponent while Shikamaru trapped the other. Choji prepared to attack but Shikamaru yelled "Stop you idiot! If you attack them then we take the damage also!"
* insert facepalm here*
The leader yelled "Did you hear that, just kill Kin and we kill the stupid girl then we can focus on this poor sap who has me trapped." Zaku (the third member) turned toward Kin. He didn't kill her fast enough so Ino got away injured, but still alive. Shikamaru's shadow possession wore off leaving him exhausted. Sakura's whole backup was almost unconscious, while only one sound ninja was defeated, and they didn't even do that. All hope was lost until Neji arrived. Neji didn't get to fight though because Sasuke woke up and attacked. Sasuke looked different though, he had weird marks covering his body and his eye was yellow. Sakura thought he learned a new Jutsu and was excited until she realized he wasn't acting like himself. He calmly walked up to Zaku and broke his arms with no remorse. Ryu was waking up at this point. He saw Dosu (the leader) throw an earth scroll at Sasuke and turned to leave. Ryu noticed that Dosu had to hold two unconscious team mates and Ryu decided to "help" them. He noticed that they were over an air pocket in the ground. He threw a kunai with a bomb attached at the air pocket. It sunk underground and blew up propelling them all the way to the tower. Assuming the fall didn't kill them they would have an easy time for the rest of the mission. Everyone stared in horror at Ryu while Ryu just shrugged it off and sit down. Everyone split up after Naruto woke up and after wards Sakura announced that they had completed the exam. Everyone was confused until she explained that Orichimaru burnt a fake scroll as a warning and that she found the real scroll in Ryu's pocket along with a letter. It read:
Ryu remember what we talked about? If you want revenge for your sister you should track down the Akatsuki. Luckily for you I know where they are. Their current base is behind a waterfall in the land of waves. This may be subject to change soon so if you're lucky you can find them while they are on the move. I wish you luck and I am offering a warning. Stay away from Itachi, Sasuke claimed him already and I need Sasuke. Also I have something for you on the back of this letter. Let's call it some motivation for you.
Ryu flipped it over and saw a picture of him and his sister, the same picture she always carried with her. Ryu ran off tears brimming in his eyes and he began to formulate his plan, but first he would have to escape the village. That is the only way that he can train at his own pace. He decided he was going to carry out this plan after the Chunin Exams were over. Sakura found him hiding under some brush. She asked why he was crying. Ryu pointed to the picture. She looked at it and said "That little girl looks like you. Who is she?" Ryu scribbled in the dirt next to him my sister. Sakura asked why she had never seen her before. Ryu wrote she died. Sakura felt sorry for him and gave him a hug to hopefully make him feel better. She took the letter from Ryu and read it. She yelled "We need to tell Kakashi sensei. The Jonin have been searching for this location for years. Ryu wrote If you tell anyone I will kill you. This is my job and mine alone. You're smart, I'm sure you will make the right decision. And Sakura, thanks. He hugged Sakura and turned around to rejoin the group. When he arrived Naruto called him a cry baby. Ryu punched Naruto and watched as Naruto turned from the spirit of the nine tail demon fox to the spirit of a flopping fish. Moral of the story is to not get on Ryu's bad side.
