Aiko was standing on a beautiful hillside. The Sun was setting on the horizon, the birds were singing it was peaceful. Mamoru was playing in the field with Kana. Ryu ran by and stopped to enjoy the beautiful view with her and Kai. It was perfect in every way, then everything darkened as a loud noise caught her attention. She shook her head as she woke up from her daydreaming.
"What?" She asked looking at her brother.
"I said, are you ready? Our goal is up ahead" he replied.
She looked over to the building. She had completely forgotten about the mission. "What do you need me to do?" She asked.
"Just go in there and steal the artifact, nothing more, nothing less." He replied, "now get going." He ruffled her hair and disappeared.
She steeled her nerves and ran off towards the building. It was a huge building, nothing like what she had seen in Konoha. Outside the building there were two guards on duty. There were two options; talk to the guards and coax her way in, or use force to enter the building. She decided for the better of the two options by charging the guards. She killed the first guard by stabbing him in the gut with a kunai. She then pointed the knife at the other guards throat and used him as a hostage as she walked into the building. As she drew closer to the stairwell 10 guards ran out fully armed.
She yelled "If you want your pal here to live then you will drop the weapons and leave me alone, otherwise I will not hesitate to kill you!"
The guard she was holding started laughing.
"What's wrong with you stop that now!"
He turned to look her in the eyes and said "You clearly don't know how we operate here. We've been trained since day one for a situation just like this. We've had it drilled into our minds to do whatever needs to be done with no regard towards if a few of us are killed. You might as well kill me now while you ca...." He dropped to the ground with his throat slit.
"If you insist." Aiko said as the group of guards attacked her. She was soon overwhelmed by the group of guards. On their own they're nothing, but together they worked as an unstoppable force. She would parry attacks and stab at one guy just to have another rush in to block the attack. They slowly wore her down as the blades started to cut her in various places. She desperately stabbed at one guy while using a fire style Jutsu to catch him off guard. He fell and the guy next to him got charred by the blaze. A sharp pain appeared on her ear as a guard snuck behind her and managed to cut her with a sword. As she cupped her ear with her hand Mamoru jumped out at the attacked and started to maul his face. Aiko used the blood from her ear to summon her dog Kana. The battle was coming to a close as 5 guards remained. Things were going well until she heard a loud scream. One guard had stabbed Mamoru with his sword, and Aiko stared helplessly as her best friend fell to the ground lifeless in a puddle of blood. She grabbed the attacker and strangled him as she screamed in sheer rage. She was surrounded in a white aura as she summoned her chains. Her ultimate Jutsu came with huge risks, but Aiko didn't care anymore, she had lost all sense. Time slowed around her as she proceeded to impale all the guards around her with the chains. They fell wordlessly as she scooped her friend. The aura from the chains started to flood to her hands as she tried to force it into Mamoru's corpse. It was unlikely to work, but Aiko was desperate to try anything. She continually flowed both the chakra of the guards as well as her own into her friend as fatigue struck. It wasn't working, and her energy was almost gone. She cried desperately as she poured the last of her energy into Mamoru. She watched as the wound started to close. Mamoru stirred and promptly fell asleep. She placed Mamoru in her bag and stood. She started to the stairs when she stumbled. Her head was throbbing and out of the corner of her eyes she saw that her once black hair started to fade to white. She worked through the exhaustion and forced her way down the stairs to the artifact. It was a gold vase decorated with gems of the highest quality. On the side was an old picture of what appeared to be a bear. She broke its glass cover and picked it up. And headed towards the exit. She went to the door, but it refused to budge.
"You didn't think would be that easy did you?" Asked a voice behind her. She turned and saw a huge man with a just as huge sword. He was clearly the boss of this place. "Now, tell me how do you plan to replace all of those workers you killed." He gestured towards the bodies,"I know I'll just kill you, whatever organization that sent you, will most definitely miss someone as useful as you" he swung his sword in a broad arc. It was a slow move, but Aiko was too exhausted to dodge. She pulled out a kunai to dampen the blow to no avail. Time seemed to slow as his sword shattered her kunai and continued right towards her midsection. Suddenly he stopped as a katana erupted from his shoulder. Behind him was Kai with a face of sheer rage so strong Aiko heart wanted to stop.
"Was that how I looked when I killed those guards?" she wondered.
"Now who the hell are you?!" He barked clearly in pain.
Kai mockingly replied "You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?" He pulled his sword out and sliced the man's right arm off. The man screamed in pain as he clutched the stump of his arm. Kai continued coldly "For trying to kill my friend here I should torture to the brink of death ten times over. Unfortunately I'm in a hurry." He pulled a flask out of his jacket and melted it to a puddle in his hands. "I'll just pour this down your throat, the pain of molten glass won't kill you immediately, but it'll cause excruciating pain until you eventually die." He tilted the guys head back and released the molten puddle from his hands. The man screamed in pain as the glass slowly killed him.
Aiko ran towards her brother. "What are you doing? Stop this!" She yelled. Tears were running down her face as the horror of what her brother did, struck her. She killed the man quickly to end his suffering. She slapped her brother in the face as he stared at her dumbfounded.
He replied "What about those dozen people you killed? How are they any different?"
Aiko responded "That was necessary, and I killed them as swiftly as possible. I will forever be haunted by what I have done here, but nowhere near as much as haunted as I will be after watching what you have done." Aiko shuddered then collapsed from exhaustion.
Kai carried her out and asked "Who was it?"
Aiko stared blankly. "Huh?" She mumbled.
"Who did you resurrect? You didn't think I wouldn't notice your hair did you? Was it your panda, he seems more lively than before."
Aiko replied weakly "Yeah, they stabbed him and next thing I remember I'm holding him and my hair is turning white."
Kai warned "Aiko that technique is too dangerous, I want you to swear you won't do it again."
Aiko replied "But..."
"No buts. You could have died. If it was anyone larger than your pet here, the attempt would have completely drained your life force and you would have died. Our Kekkei Genkai has a multitude of uses, but you must never resurrect anything ever again."
Aiko muttered "Ok, I promise." Then passed out from exhaustion.
