Ryu's POV:
One month after the fight with Chōji, Ryu has recovered and with the Hokage at the Exams it was time for his plan.
Step 1: Steal the villages sacred scroll of forbidden Justus
He wasn't strong enough to fight the Akatsuki and after missing a month of training, this was the fastest path to power.
Step 2: Escape the village undetected
With everyone watching the fights that should be easy.
Step 3: Master all the Justus in the scroll
Step 4: Vengeance
The first fight of The Chunin Exams began and Ryu ran to the Hokages house. The room was very guarded, but with some poisoned kunai a and Genjutsu Ryu took out the guards very easily. He grabbed the scroll and an alarm went off and he ran off with it. At this time a lot of Sand Ninja entered the city allowing him to escape. He ran off and saw a huge Tanuki fighting Naruto and he was clearly losing Ryu stashed away the scroll and joined the fight. He stabbed Gaara with a flaming kunai in one hand, another one crackling with electricity in the other. He stabbed the giant Tanuki in the face until Gaara was revealed, and Naruto punched the crap out of Gaara until he woke up. Gaara and Naruto collapsed and Ryu sat nearby. Naruto turned to thank Ryu but he was gone.
Ryu was cursing himself for taking so long, he grabbed the scroll and picked it up to find a small hand grabbing it. It was a small boy from the Village of Sand. He asked "What is this funny paper, it looks boring." Ryu scowled and pulled it away. Another kid walked up, he was about 11 years old. He said "Hi there, I'm Charlie and this is Matt. We're orphans from Sand. We were told to come here for a home so you should bring us their. Ryu shook his head and turned. Charlie said "That scroll looks important, it would be a shame if it were stolen. Oh, well let's go to Konoha, Matt." Ryu grabbed Charlie's shoulder and nodded and motioned for them to follow. Charlie asked "Does this mean we could stay together?" Ryu nodded and Charlie then asked "What's your name?" Ryu pulled out a paper and wrote Ryu, and don't expect me to talk to you because I can't. Charlie then asked "Why not?" Ryu was now annoyed and wrote I'm not able to speak. That ended the conversation and they walked off. At least Ryu had a family again, once again an orphan in the wilderness. This time however, he was responsible for their lives and he wouldn't allow harm to reach them like it did his sister. That mistake will never happen again.
