Miranda's pov
Andy, my boyfriend is driving me crazy and this close to getting dumped. But I'm afraid of what he'll do to me if I dump him. Right now, he's dragging me to a bar. "I don't want to go to a bar!" I gripe. "Well, I do and you said you wanted us to spend time together-" " No, I said I wanted to work things out between us!" I gasp. "Don't interrupt me, woman!" He growls, raising his fist. Crap! "Ok, I'm sorry. Let's go to the bar!" I gasp, blocking my face and closing my eyes. He grabs my arm which is already bruised from him doing that before. I sigh and we go to the bar.
Jason's pov
I'm sitting at the bar, tired after driving 10 hours to get home. This tour really wore me out but I'm okay otherwise. "We really need to talk!" I hear a girl gripe. "Shut up!" A guy shouts. It's none of my business. I glance behind me anyway. She's trying to keep her voice down but he's already half drunk. "I'm sick and tired of this! You don't even care about me!" She cries. "Whatever, just shut up!" He growls. He's such a douchebag. "I think we should just break up." She says. "Fuck that. You ain't breaking up with me!" He snaps, grabbing her arm. "Ow! Let go! You're hurting me!" She cries. I really shouldn't interfere. It's none of my business. But she really looks like she's in trouble. I don't like leaving people in danger. No one else seems to be stopping him! I guess it's up to me. It only infuriates me more when he slaps her and she's crying!

Ugh. I knew it would end badly if I tried breaking up with him. I guess I'm doomed. "Hey buddy, real men don't hit girls!" A new voice growls. I look over and a new guy looks pissed. He must've seen Andy slap me. "Mind your own business, pal!" Andy snaps. "I was tryin' to but I can't stand seeing assholes hurting people." The new guy growls. "Get your hands off her!" "Let's get outta here!" Andy mutters, still holding my arm tightly. The new guy laughs. "You obviously didn't understand." He says, shaking his head and closing his eyes. "I'll say it again then. Get your hands off her!" He shouts grabbing Andy's shirt and punching him in the face. I'm shocked! "How do you like a taste of your own medicine, you jerk!" I scream, smiling. "You okay ma'am?" He asks. I rub my arm and nod. "Thanks for stopping him." I say. He nods. "What's your name?" We ask at the same time. We both laugh and I blush. "I'm Jason." "My name's Miranda. Pleased to meet you." "Pleasure's all mine. Buy ya a drink?" He asks. I smile. "Sure." We sit at the bar. "I've never been one to tolerate abuse." He says. "I have been planning on getting out of it but I knew he'd go crazy. I'm just glad we were in public or it would've been a lot worse." I mumble.

I'm sure glad I decided not to mind my own business. "I'm just worried he'll come back." She says, leaning against the bar. "He won't hurt you while I'm around." I say, patting her shoulder. She smiles. I'm still exhausted. And knocking that guy out wore me out more. "Well, I'm exhausted. How's about we head home?" "Yeah, I'm beat. You can drop me off at my place." She says, yawning. "That guy knows where you live. I think it'd be safer if you came home with me." "I'd like that." We go out to my truck but the asshole from before blocks my path. "That's my girl!" He growls. "Not if you're gonna hit her!" I gripe, keeping her behind me. I hand her the keys. "He's drunk. He won't notice until it's too late. Make sure to lock the door." She nods. "Thanks." She says, hugging me. He grabs at her as she runs to my truck. "Now, you can walk away and nobody has to get hurt or I can kick ya into next week." I threaten. "Shes my girlfriend!" He shouts. "Correction, she was your girlfriend. She's not anymore." I snap. He gets in a fighting stance. Looks like I'm gonna have to knock him out.
Miranda's pov
They get in a fist fight! I can't let him get hurt! All he was doing was helping me. Jason throws Andy against the truck.
Jason's pov
"If I see you around these parts again, I will beat you." I warn throwing him to the ground. She unlocks the door and hands me the keys. "You sure showed him." She gasps. "Yeah, let's get home. I'm beat." I mutter, starting my truck.
