Miranda's pov

I'm beyond shocked that Jason proposed to me. Especially since we just started going out not too long ago. Even though, he's the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with. I know I'll always be safe and happy with him. He'll take care of me. And if Brett were here, he'd take care of him too. I can't wait for the wedding. It's going to be perfect.

This place will be the best place on the map. With all the memories I have from it. I sit down at the bar at Tootsies. The same bar Mike found me in. I run my finger along the bar, collecting dust. It's so sad this place closed down. I can just picture it all those years ago. New and everyone loved it.

~flashback~

The bartender hands me another beer as I listen to the music, my foot tapping. This is my happy place. If it was up to me, I'd never leave it. I walk out onto the balcony overlooking all of downtown Nashville.

~flashback over~

I sigh. I guess all that's left of this place is memories and an old rundown building. Then it dawns on me! I could buy the building! I could open it back up. I could bring it back to life! I find the owner of the building at the other bars further downtown.

Miranda's pov

My mom and sister just arrived from Oxford Mississippi, my hometown. "I'm so excited! Leave it all to me! I'll throw you the best and biggest wedding ever." "Actually I don't think me and Jason are doing a big wedding!" I gasp, pulling out of their hugs. "Oh nonsense! A famous country star like him-" "Mom you don't know him. He doesn't want a big wedding and I know I don't either." "Ok, but I'd love to meet him then I'll make that assumption." I roll my eyes and text Jason about it.

M: mom's here and wants to meet you.

J: you know that place I asked you to marry me in?

M: yeah, what about it?

J: have you and your family meet me there.

M: ok on my way

"Jason want us to meet at the place he proposed in." I tell them, turning my phone off. "Oh how romantic!" My sister Jenny shouts. I roll my eyes and we walk down that way. I gasp in surprise when I see grand reopening on the front above the door. I walk up to the third floor where Jason is talking to some guys in suits. "Hey Jason, what's going on?" I ask. He turns around and smiles. "I bought this bar and am opening it back up. I've always wanted to own a bar and what better to own then the one that gave me so many wonderful memories." I smile and walk over. "Maybe we could even have our wedding in here?" "Sounds great babe. Where's your mom?" "Downstairs." And just as I say that her and my sister walks up the steps to this floor. "There she is. Her and my sister." I say, pointing. We walk over there. "Pleased to meet ya madam." He says, shaking my sister's hand and hugging my mom. "I'm just surprised you didn't introduce us sooner." She says. "Well, we've been busy and stuff." I mumble. He holds my hand.

*about 20 minutes later*

I'm getting the surround sound set up for music. This is going to be the best investment ever. As I finish with the cables her mom walks over. "Some things about the wedding. You want a big wedding right? And with like limos and stuff? And obviously we're gonna have a band whatever the kind? It doesn't matter does it? I didn't think it would. Then I need sizes and groomsmen and maid of honors all that stuff?" "Uh slow down darlin', I'm not sure what you're talkin' about. We're just doing a small ceremony here in the bar." Her eyes go wide. I guess I said the wrong thing! "What are you talking about?! You're supposed to have a huge wedding! She is!" "We don't need a big wedding. Neither of us want a big wedding and I sure as heck don't want the press in on this. I know what my girl wants and she is the one who suggested to do it here in the bar!" "Mama! Stop it. I told you we didn't want a big wedding!" She cries, stomping over here. "But... Sweetheart, I want you to have the best wedding imaginable!" She gasps. "The best wedding in my eyes is my friends and family here to see me getting married to the man I love. That's all I need. That's all I want!" I hug her. "You and me both darlin'. Just you and me that's all I need." "Oh fine. It won't be as fun if ya ask me." Her mom mutters, crossing her arms. "Well no offense ma'am but we didn't ask you." I grumble, annoyed with her attitude. She finally walks away. "Sorry about her. She always wanted one of those perfect fairytale weddings." She says, sitting on a bar stool. "My perfect wedding doesn't need all that crap." "Same with me." I kiss her, holding her tight. "Holding you right here like this is all I wanna do for the rest of my life." I whisper.
