My Best Friends Boyfriend

Chapter 3: The Party

I went into my closet and got out my best clothes and a bathing suit. The Party would be near the lake. Once I got dressed I got breakfast and left a note for Megen. Then I waited till I heard a car beep. I was car pooling with Melissa, Jess, and Justin. Justin was the one driving today and I was the first stop. Mostly because he lived one house away from me.

-Beep Beep-

I jumped up from my seat and went out to the car. I sat in the backseat so Jess could go in the front. The next stop was Melissa's house then Jess of course. The only reason Erik wasn't coming was because the party was arranged by him so he was there already. 

"Hey Sara and Justin." Melissa shouted.

"Hey Melissa." I shouted back smiling. 

Melissa sat in the back just like me. Most of the car ride to Jess's house we sat in silence. Once we got there the car beeped, but Jess didn't come on. I got out of the car and knocked at the door.

-Knock Knock-

I heard a loud noise and someone run down the stairs. 

"Oh uh hey Sara what are you doing here?" Jess said looking behind her.

"Were car pooling today to the party remember?" I replied.

"That was today?" Jess said hitting her head. "Ok you guys go ahead i'll meet you there later, ok?" 

"Ok." I mumbled. 

"She told us she'd meet us there." I said getting back into the car. 

"Ok." Justin said driving off to the party. 

'What do you think shes doing.'

'I don't know.'

'lalala.'

'Can you shut up me so I can think.'

'You are thinking.'

'True.'

After having another argument with myself I finally got to start thinking. I mean why would Jess have too look behind her? Plus she would have never forgotten a party. They were her life. 

"Helloooo?" Melissa said clapping her hands in my face.

"Huh? What?" I said coming back from my thoughts.

"Were here." She said laughing.

"Oh, ok." I said.

"Well lets go say hi to Erik and help him out." She said smiling.

"Ok, lets go then!" I yelled.

Once we found Erik he told us that everything had been ready for days now so we didn't need to help him. But, he told us that we had to go into the lake because he wanted to play a game

"But." I said. "I don't want to put on my bathing suit." 

"Oh relax Sara it'll be fun c'mon." Melissa said smirking.

We both went into the changing rooms. When I can out I was wearing a one piece checkered pink and black bathing suit. When Melissa came out she was wearing a blue and black bikini. I didn't really like bikinis so I didn't wear one unless I was just with a few friends. That was rare though even if I was.
