Chapter 5: School, Friends, and Cheaters

I woke up and shut my alarm off. I really hate that song. I got dressed than straighted my hair. I don't know why, but I didn't feel like spending a hour trying to comb it and fail. I went down stairs and shoved a piece of toast in my mouth. Jess was car pooling today, but she wasn't here yet so I called her.

"Hello?" She said.

"Your car pooling today." I replied.

"I am?!" she questioned.

"I guess not. Be there soon." I said sighing.

I got in my car and drove next door and beeped the horn.

-Beep Beep-

"Your car pooling today?" Justin said running out of the door.

"Apparently." I said driving to Melissa's house.

-Beep Beep-

"Your car-" 

"Yes, yes I am lets go." I said cutting Melissa off.

-Beep Beep-

Jess walked out of her door. She look at the ground then sat in the back next to Justin. I still couldn't believe she didn't tell him yet. I mean they were both keeping a huge secret from one another. I wanted to  tell them both, but I can tell nither of them wanted to. Just then I began to think about what I said to myself yesterday. How did Crystal Calown come into my mind. Just then we arrived at school. I got out of the car and went straight to my locker without saying a word. 

"Hey, why'd you leave without saying anything today?" Melissa asked. 

"I don't know, just thinking about.... things." I replied staring in my locker. 

"Oh, ok." Melissa said. "See ya at lunch." 

I walked to first period and found that I wa sthe only one there at the moment. I looked at my watch. 7:35 a.m. I was early. Class didn't start till 8:00. I left my books there and walked out of the class room. I looked at the ground for one second and then bumped into Kevin. 

"Oh, hey Sara." Kevin said smiling. 

"Hi." I said looking up. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, I just transferred here from Bay Balloon High School." Kevin explained.

"Oh, ok." I said walking away. 

"Wait." He said grabbed my arm so I couldn't walk away. "You seen Jess around?" 

"Nope." I said.

I walked away and went to go find someone that I could talk too. 

"Hey Sara." I voice called.

"Hey. Crystal?" I said.

"Yeah! Long time no see." She replied.

This was not happening. Crystal was back after all these years. I wonder why she even left. 

"Yeah I know. Well I should get back to class, bye." I said running to class.

When I got back my books weren't there. 

"No!" I screamed.

"Relax." Justin called. "I got them here. Some one was trying to take it." 

"Thanks, I guess." I said sitting down.

It turned 8:00 and the teacher walked inside the class room. There was a sub today. His name was  Mr. Goldman. He told us that today we were watching a short movie.
