No! Amelia slammed her bedroom door and slumped against it. What she had now done was absolutely ridiculous! She should not have done that at all. She should have followed her brain not her wretched heart which always led to the wrong decisions, thus the wrong consequences. What happened to her number one rule in regards to Oscar? To keep her distance from him. He had already hurt her more than she like to admit and much more than she actually showed.
However, it had been worth it. Her first kiss, Good God, how odd and silly she sounded, and it made her seem like an airheaded teenager who has experienced some intimacy for the first time in her life! Great, because that was her bloody reality! Yet, she couldn't stop wondering how magical it had seemed, almost like the daft fairy tales which she despised. They were not true and could never be; they put silly ideas into ones head and never teach the grim reality of real life. Amelia touched her lips, reliving the memory of his wonderful taste and smell. Oh how she longed to kiss him again. Amelia gasped, was she falling into her own trap? No Amelia, Oscar needs to suffer not you, she said to herself. Now it was about making Oscar want her and regret his time he had left her humiliated and hurt.
But how would she continue to act? Normal, calm as if nothing had occurred or sly and cunning like the predator she had been minutes before, hunting her gorgeous prey? Should she continue to slip in a kiss or two here and there, and leave Oscar dazzled? No, best not, she was already too much into him, and she was beginning to feel strange fiery, erotic and hungry feelings, which she had never before experienced. Those feelings should not exist. Suddenly, she understood why so many girls had given and ruined themselves for the sake of a man.
Oh Lord, she was stuck, she didn't want to be a pathetic girl unable to survive without a man, but yet she could not deny the want she felt for that trecherous man. She will give herself to him, after all that was the husbands right over the wife. Amelia wondered why he hadn't acted forcefully like many of them men in the society did? Was he ashamed of his actions towards her or was he revolted by her, always remembering how she was before. It seemed that her past was haunting her. That was unfair. Truth be it that she did feel ashamed of herself for being the way she was. Maybe if she hadn't been so ridiculously horrible in her appearance, she would've had a mini version of herself or the man she would have married, and not acting like a newly wed. But then again, the past had moulded her into becoming the strong independent women she now was. Amelia signed, fate worked in so many different ways.

Oscar hadn't seen Amelia for the past two days. She was clearly avoiding him like a plague. He looked outside the huge window in his study and tried to adjust back to how his life should be with him focusing in the books and the financial things and not Amelia who never left his mind. For God's sake he even dremt about her during the night and fanisized about her during the day. She was clearly driving him to the brink of insanity. Returning back to reality he couldn't find the books, well where he had last left it those five years ago. Amazing, how time flies. After searching the cabinets, he found them and the amount seems to be more than he remembered. He opened some and stopped. Everything was recent and up-to-date and his father's books were here as well.. Oscar was shocked. He thought he'd have months to catch up on, especially as his father was ill, but that wasn't to be the case. There was only one other person he could think of who could have done this-Amelia. Oscr smiled, bafled by Amelia's never ending surprises.
'Come in,' Oscar answered the study room door, sitting on the comfortable chair.
'My lordship, this letter just came for you.' Harry said.
Oscar frowing slightly. Had the investigator had some lead on the mysterious investigation, but it just seemed all too soon.
'Who is it from?' Oscar said taking the letter, he only had to see the seal on the letter to know- It was Lord Haywood. Immediately, Oscar opened the letter, numerous thoughts running across his head.
