Chapter 10

RUMOR'S POV:

Since I had fallen asleep earlier Carman and I woke up super early. It was about 3 in the morning. Carman had to go back home since she has missed a bunch of school for me. I also had to make her go. I wasn't going to let her fail. So with reluctance she finally was leaving. As she was packing and heading to her car we had like 25 minutes of us just hugging and sobbing.
"Bye Ru-Ru I'll miss you a lot. Don't forget to call every day." She said with tears streaming down her face.
"You know I will. Now go before you change your mind. I love you."
"Love you too." With one last hug good-bye she drove off back to NYC.
Going back to my room I saw the time was a few minutes after five. Meaning I have a little bit of 30 minutes to sleep before having to wake up again.
~AT 6 AM~
I woke up extremely fucking tired. I ran downstairs and made pancakes and made coffee. Setting everything on the table I ran upstairs. Seeing as it was only 6:30 I decided to sleep 30 more minutes.
Hearing my alarm go off. I got up put my hair in a ponytail. Put on mascara, brushed my teeth and put lip balm on. I didn't even look in a mirror. I'm done with shit. Deciding I was also too lazy to put on a decent outfit I grabbed the first thing I saw. Black flip flops, a destroyed gray tee, my alice in wonderland leggings, and sadly Bear's jacket since mine were all dirty. What a shocker. It sucks but I need to cover up my arms some how.
Heading to my locker at school I keep music blaring in my ears and my hood up and head down. I was passing Damon and the guys and they waved and smiled. I just looked away and kept on to my locker. I haven't heard from Sky and Jordan in a while I hope they're ok.
Going into my first class I immediately dropped my books at the site in front of me. It was Xavier lip locked with amber. Almost like sensing it was me he stopped and looked at me. His mouth wide open and tears threatening to spill out of my eyes.
"Princess it's not what it looks like." He said almost too calmly but also.. scared.
"Are you sure about that Xavier?! It looked exactly like you were kissing my bully. My fucking bully!!" he was about to speak when I ran and started bawling. He was calling after me but I ran into the girl's bathroom. He started banging on the door. I just fell to the floor crying trying not to die.
"Rumor please, please just hear me out! You have to understand you came in as soon as Amber kissed me! I didn't provoke it nor did I enjoy it."
"You sure as hell looked like you weren't even trying to get her off." I said angrily.
"I was in shock and wasn't thinking please just give me a chance Ru."
"Chance? Chance?! We aren't even together X so nothing matters let's forget everything and go our separate ways."
"Ru please I can't do that I ca-"
"Don't you fucking dare say you care! Especially since yesterday all you did was glare at me and ignore me!" I finally opened the door and yelled at him.
"I...I have a explanation for that I swear."
"Well go on tell me your fucking explanation for hurting me!"
"I will but not here. And also not till you say you believe me about Amber." I looked him straight in the eyes and calmed down. He was telling the truth I could tell. I sighed.
"Ok I believe you."
"You promise you aren't just saying that?"
"I promise you, you fucking dick bag." I rolled my eyes.
"Okay. Now let's ditch... I have a lot of explaining to do."
"You got that right bitch." I was moody as hell so bitches better deal with it. All the sudden he placed his hand on my cheek and wiped my left over tears. Then leaned close and ...
"You still look sexy as hell in my hoodie." He backed up, looked at my shocked expression, winked and walked off.
"Fucking ass." I glared at his back but started to smile then stopped. I ran after him and was nervous about what he was going to tell me. Outside we headed to his bike.
"Hop on Princess."  He handed me a helmet. I got straight on and we rode off to I'm guessing his house. Sensing he was scared and nervous I just knew this was going to be something big. And I may not like it.

Once to his house and I got off his bike I couldn't help but feel... Feel like I was being watched. I just shook it off though and walked in his house.
"So want anything to drink?" He scratched the back of his neck
nervously.
"No I'm good." I smiled softly at him. I went and sat on the couch. I felt him sit next to me and he looked straight at me.
"Ru... Before I tell you I need... I need you to promise you won't leave... at least not till you've heard me out and shit." I could see in his eyes he was nervous and scared. I kissed his cheek.
"I could never leave. I promise." He sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
" I guess I'll start from the beginning of it all, so it makes sense."
"I'll say first though my family at first was happy and... Normal. But when I turned 9 things started changing. My dad left one day and came back late from a new job. Normal at first, at least I thought so. After awhile he came home after midnight either drunk or high. Mom started questioning what the hell he was doing and he started yelling and wouldn't stop. As weeks went on he would constantly verbally abusing her. Being young and stupid I just hid in my room. Once it was more and more frequent I just knew it was wrong so I started standing up to him and he would push me and call me a worthless son. Yea know the usual. Mom finally found out what his new 'job' was. He was a gang leader... Once she found out he started beating her. I.. I never even tried to help. Around the age 11 rumors were going around about my dad and people called me the murder's son, a freak and would push me around. I got tired of it and fought back. That's when my whole bad boy image started. I started getting better at fighting. I started taking care of mom making sure she was okay. Around 13 I found out about an underground fighting ring. I wasn't interested at first till my dad stop paying bills. So to help mom i started training so I could join. To help earn money from fights. I was about 14 and a half when I finally joined. Young I know? One day I came home from school and..." He stopped he looked distraught and tensed up.
Immediately wanting to comfort him. I sat on his lap and hugging him telling him it's alright. He hugged back and put his face in the crook of my neck. We stayed like that for a bit and I could feel him become less tense.
"Listen Bear if you don't wanna finish I understand completely." I looked at him with sad eyes.
"No, no it's ok I wanna continue." I just nodded and he began speaking again.
"One day I came home and mom wasn't home. I of course being over protective of her immediately called her. She said she was gonna be on a late shift. I knew for me this meant watching out for the old man. I ended up falling asleep by accident. I woke up to the bastard yelling I immediately ran down to protect mom. But something really changed in him. He had a gun. He was waving it around yelling at her calling her a no good whore and slut. He kept asking where she was and who she was with. He said how could you cheat on me. I went up and tackled him trying to keep her safe. He was beating me pretty bad but I did just as bad damage back. I... I told her to run but she said she wouldn't leave me. Dad ended up hitting me in the head with a chair. My vision... It got blurry... I tried getting up when he pointed the gun at her." He stopped at this point he had tears going down his face. I held him tighter.
"Shhh it's ok. It's ok." I keep trying to comfort him.
" I tried jumping in front of her but I was too late... He shoot her. Right in the god damn heart. " His words spit like venom.
"Ever since then I vowed I would get him back." I thought of something though.
"Wait you said you joined that underground ring right?" He nodded.
"So is that what the whole 'you got shit to do' was?"
"Yes Princess. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. Trust me I wanted to but I couldn't let you get involved with that. Also I didn't want you to hate and leave me."
"Xavier I could never leave you. But wait... What does this have to do with you ignoring me. Don't get me wrong I'm glad you told me about your mom and I'm so sorry about her. She sounded like a great woman."
"It's ok Princess. And she was, she was a fantastic woman. She would of liked you and vise versa. But your right I need to finish to get where you come in to all this." He paused for a bit before finally continuing.
"Short or long story?"
"Medium" he rolled his eyes at my answer but chuckled.
"Basically, my dad has been wanting me to work with him. I always decline I would never work for that bastard. Just a day before I was trying to ignore you.." When he said that I felt like I got stabbed in the heart again just thinking about it.
"He well... He came to my fight and stroked a deal that I couldn't disagree on. It was simply... If I didn't win against his best fighter--" he stopped tensing up once again. He took me off his lap and went to the wall. I could tell he was angry by his facial expression. Next thing I know he punched a big hole in the wall. I quickly went up to him and did something I didn't think I would ever be brave enough to do. I grabbed his face and kissed him. At first it was hard and needy but turned soft and passionate. We stopped and our foreheads were touching.
"It's okay Bear. Everything will be ok."
He growled. "No it won't and it's all my fault. Cause if I didn't win he would come after you and I would have to work for him." I hugged him tightly.
"What happened if you did win?"
"He would leave you alone and we would have a fair one on one. I....I was sure I would win. I didn't though and I fucking failed you. Now I have to do anything in my power to protect you." His voice was strained and hard but he was determined.
"When... When is he coming after me?" My voice quivered a bit. He bent down and grabbed my face.
"I'm not sure. But princess I'll do everything to protect you and keep him away from you. We will have to have our guard up from now on. I'll be with you pretty much all day everyday."
"Everyday?" I said with a small voice. He smirked a little. "You got that right baby." Then he gave me a small wink.
Even with everything that he's told me I couldn't help but think of what could happen with me and him. I may or may not of had some dirty thoughts which causes me to blush and quickly stop with the pervert side of me. Catching on, Xavier started laughing.
"Careful princess, I don't think you could even handle this." Pointing to his... Manhood.
"But you can certainly try. I won't be complaining." He winked. I gaped like a fish. How... How no how dare he think that.
"Careful Ru. Close your mouth wouldn't want to give me any ideas." Finally getting out of my daze. I huffed and slapped his arm. I was about to storm off 'angrily' but he caught my arm and spun me around. He hugged me while saying, "sorry. I'm sorry Ru! I'll stop." He kissed my head. And I just sighed in content while in his arms.
"You're still a jerk you know." I mumbled in his chest. I felt his body rumble from laughter.
"Whatever you say Ru. Whatever you say." He whispered in my ear. Which gave me goosebumps and shiver.
We stayed like that for a few minutes before he finally spoke up.
"You hungry? It's almost one and I know you haven't eaten at all." I hesitated I didn't want to eat... I... I couldn't.
"Um no I'm ok I'm... I'm not hungry yet." I softly smiled at him. Him being him though I could tell he didn't believe me.
"Mmhhmmm. When's the last time you ate princess?"
"Ya know um yesterday I think." Shit! Why did I say I think he's definitely going to know something's up!
Which he did cause he immediately thought of a plan for me to spill. He walked towards me and grabbed my hips.
"Are you sure Ru?" He started kissing my neck slowly. I leaned my neck back to give him more access. Between kisses he asked, "are you suuurrree you don't wanna tell me what's up?" He then started sucking my neck which caused me to moan. Knowing he won't stop till he gets an answer I finally panted out I would tell him.
"I...."
"Hmmm?"
I sighed knowing shit was about to get serious again.
" I started a diet a few years ago... Called the ABC diet. I got addicted after awhile and slowly would stop eating. I would eat something very little every week or so. When I was bullied I was always called fat and a whale and everything like that. And it wasn't just the bullies it was my parents too. I felt ugly and fat. I had to fit in and fix it. For awhile though I actually started starving myself completely until carman found out. She made me eat. Of course after awhile of her thinking i was "fine" she didn't know. She didn't know I barely ever ate that I couldn't... And if I did eat cause she made me I would throw it up as soon as I could. Even now sometimes I try to eat... But I can't I really can't." I had my head down in shame. I was afraid he would think I was disgusting.
Instead he grabbed my face and kissed my forehead.
"Princess you are anything but ugly and fat. You are the most gorgeous girl I've ever met! And you are no where near fat! You're skinny and curvy and all in all perfect. Don't ever put yourself down like that."
"It's hard to believe ya know. Something you've always been told, it gets stuck and you never forget and you start to believe it's true. It's the hardest thing not to believe."
"Ru I need you to start eating... Slowly though it doesn't need to be a lot. I need you to be healthy for me please. You have to promise."
"I can't---"
"No, no you can't say can't till you at least try. Please." He looked in my eyes begging me. I don't know why but finally I.. I agreed.
"O-ookay yeah I'll try." He started smiling and picked me up spinning me around. I started laughing. It's funny how the simplest things he does can make me go from sad to laughing. I think I'm falling hard for him... And that scares me so much. He finally put me down. He walked to the freezer and pulled out dinosaur nuggets. He turns around holding the package.
"Dinosaur nuggets?" He smiles like a kid at a candy store. I giggled at his childishness.
I just simply nodded.
