Despite how today was supposed to be the "most joyful day of my life" I was a complete mess. My hair was so crazy I didn't think the stylist would be able to calm it, the limo had broken down, and my groom was missing.
I know what you're thinking, he got cold feet and he ditched me. But that's not the case, apparently. His best man, Caleb, told me he had to pick up something very important for today. If it wasn't here the ceremony would be "cursed."
I do wonder what goes on inside his head.
But back to my major problems, like my hair, I wanted to scream. And cry. Tears were a definite possibility. They could be happy or sad tears, depending on what caused them.
If I saw my parents: sad tears.
If I looked at the gorgeous diamond ring Sean had gotten me: happy tears.
Looking at the dress that I had picked out when I was fifteen with Waverly: happy and sad.
The emotions ranged from anywhere to everywhere. As much as I wanted this day to last and be memorable, I wanted it to be over. It was too stressful for me, even with the help of my maid of honor and best friend, Kelly.
Of course, Kelly would never compare to Waverly, they were just too different. But Kelly was my best friend in ways Waverly wasn't.
With Waverly, we complemented each other. She was outgoing, I was a little more socially awkward. I was athletic, she was the person who organized everything, from parties to pep rallies. She was nice to everyone, I had a variety of feelings towards people. But that's just how we were, and it worked.
With Kelly, we are almost the same person. Both athletic, both a little awkward unless we're with each other, and both of us had our fair share of mood swings. Although, she was smarter than me, which was expected since she's a doctor. We went to each other for everything, ranging from clothes to a life crisis. That's just what we do.
Who else would I have asked to be my maid of honor other than the girl who pretty much forced Sean and I to see our true feelings for each other?
Sean and I were friends for two years before we realized we reciprocated our romantic feelings. And by find out, I mean have Kelly yell it in our faces. Not that I minded, it was good to know that this good looking guy felt the same way about me that I felt for him.
Long story short, we dated for four years and now, at the age of twenty-four we were getting ready to pledge ourselves to each other. I was excited, nervous and so ready to be Mrs. Sean O'Riley.

"You can't be up here!" I heard my mother exclaim from outside the door.
"I know, bad luck and stuff, but I need to see my fiancé," Sean informed her.
I chuckled. If he thought she was going to let him in he had another thing coming.
But then I heard the murmuring of voices and in walked Sean.
"Wow," he murmured, looking me up and down. "You look beautiful."
I looked at him, all cleaned up in his black tie with his hair not all mussed. "You don't look too bad yourself. How did you get past my mother?"
He smiled shyly. "I have something for you."
I looked at him, a confused expression on my face. Which turned into a look of shock and bewilderment as he pulled out the old, self-made bouquet of antiques.
"Where did you find that?" I whispered.
"I remember you telling me about it," he admitted sheepishly as he handed me it gently. "How you and Waverly made it by gluing things that reminded you of each other on the other's bouquet so that you could be present at the wedding in case something happened in which you couldn't make it. I thought you'd want her to walk you down the aisle. I have the one she made for you which I gave to Kelly, I hope you don't mind."
I shook my head, tears forming in my eyes and slowly making their way down my face.
"Oh, shit," he muttered, brushing away the tears. "Don't cry. Your mom will kill me."
"Don't swear," I reprimanded. "You're in a church."
He chuckled. "Do you want this one or your original one? I just thought-"
I pecked him on the lips. "This is perfect. I love you."
"I love you, too," he told me. "Alright, my couple minutes are up, I'll see you on the other side, soon-to-be Mrs. O'Riley."
With a kiss on my cheek, he left. Not even a few seconds later, my dad joined me and offered me his arm.
"Ready?" he asked.
I nodded and looked down at my bouquet. Well, Waverly, looks like you do get to walk me down the aisle.
