November had come by quicker than summer break. Halloween has passed and now it was getting colder and colder. The leaves have gone from the trees and it was now raining some of the time. But whenever it wasn't raining, me and Amaya played out in the leaves or went on walks.

I was running after Draco since he took my book and I bumped into a girl by accident. She was in our year, but I forget her name all the time. Just know that she's that one smart girl in our class who knows everything.

"Sorry-" I began to apologize before getting interrupted by Draco, who was calling after me when he noticed I had stopped.

"Alana, don't talk to her. She's a mudblood."

I gasped at what Draco had said. Of course he would say that, he's Draco Malfoy, an insufferable spoiled brat who thinks he's better than everyone else.

Draco walked back to me and pulled me along, "I've told you this, Alana. You can't support Granger. She's a mudblood. She's below us."

"But Draco, she's nice-"

"I don't care if she's nice or not. Do you want to end up like your pathetic sister?" He stopped us and turned to look at me.

"She's not pathetic!"

"Right. She's a filthy blood traitor."

"Stop it, Draco!" I yelled at him. He looked quite taken aback at my yelling. I looked back towards where she was standing and saw that she was gone already.

I huffed and pushed Draco forward to keep walking.

I walked into the library later that day to study for an exam, I spotted the Granger girl sitting at the center table with Harry Potter and a ginger kid who sometimes reminds me of a leprechaun. I went up to her and tapped her on the shoulder lightly, when she turned around I prepared myself before speaking.

"Uhm...I'm sorry about what happened earlier, you know Malfoy, he's...him."

"Oh, it's alright. I don't expect much from him anyway," she responded with a small smile.

I smiled back at her, looking around for a empty table or seat. Seeing that there was none, I looked back at her nervously.

"Mind if I sit with you lot?"

"Not at all"

I sat down with the trio, smiling at each of them before they began talking about the upcoming potions exam.
