Hey, this is Meebles! I've decided to write my first ever fanfiction, and I'd like to thank daughterofapollo030 for bringing me the courage to actually do so. I hope you enjoy it, and please bare (or is it bear) with my grammatical and spelling errors. I hope you enjoy!

[TWENTY YEARS LATER]

My phone rang, waking me up. The sun's rays peaked through the window, blinding me. Despite the hot summer outside, my room was pretty cold.
I was expecting the phone call to be from Alfie, my boyfriend.
But instead, it was my father. He never called me, and I haven't seen him since two years ago on Thanksgiving. I decided to decline the call and went back to sleep. I awoke once more to the phone ringing. I declined it again and fell asleep.
Finally, I decided to pick it up the third time he rang.
"What, Dad? I'm trying to go back asleep!" I yelled.
"Sorry, May," His voice sounded different. Like he was crying. "May, I don't know how to say this. Uh, last night-" He kept pausing, as if to choke back tears. "Your mother and I got into a car accident. My injuries weren't fatal, but your mother's was. She died instantly."
"No, you're kidding Dad. I saw her a week ago! She can't be dead. She can't!"
"May, she's dead!" He yelled.
A moment of silence followed, then I hung up the phone.
I fell back into my bed as tears rolled down my eyes.
A knock on the door interrupted my grief.
"I-It's open!" I said.
Alfie opened the door.
"Good morning!" He said, lying down next to me in bed.
He looked at me and realized I was crying.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"My mom died."
His facial expression quickly shifted to a look of sadness.
"I'm so sorry," He said.
I hugged him and begun to cry.
A few days later was her funeral.
As soon as I saw my father, I ran into his arms.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything." I told him, and he returned the hug.
We gathered around my mother's casket as we all mourned. Family and relatives joined me, including my two older brothers.
In the midst of the grieving, however, I noticed something in the distance. A twig snapped, and curiosity got the best of me as I decided to check it out.
I walked deep into the forest when before me, appearing out of the blue, stood a police box. However, it looked broken.
The door swung open, and out came an old friend - The Doctor.
