"Step aside, May. There's something I haven't told you; I'm a skilled baseball player." The Doctor said.
"Doctor, is now the time for a baseball game?!" I yelled.
"I'll explain later, but this - ah, this - this is no regular baseball game."
I stood behind him and watched as he missed the first pitch, which went straight past home plate.
"Very skilled, eh?" I said.
"Just warming up," He said.
The next pitch, and he hit it far past center field, but not enough for a home run.
He ran the bases. First, second, but he stopped at third.
The stadium went silent. I scanned the audience, and although at points you can hear cheering, it seemed as though they weren't real.
As if this was a simulation.
Everybody looked at me. I stared at home, then realized I was up.
"Haha, no, I don't play baseball." I said.
"Oh come on, May, you might as well bloody do it!" The Doctor yelled.
I stepped up to home.
The pitcher gave me a menacing glare, then threw the ball at me. Despite the fact that the ball went behind me, I still swung, which meant strike one.
"Come on May, focus!" The Doctor yelled.
I exhaled deeply.
The next pitch came, and once again, I missed.
"May, keep your eye on the ball! COME ON!" The Doctor yelled.
The pitcher winded up, and I focused on the ball. As he let go and it came speeding towards me, I didn't let me eye off the ball.
When it went over home, I swung, and the ball met the bat and flew.
"RUN!" The Doctor yelled as I stared at the ball in amazement.
When the ball went over the fence, I knew I got a home run. The baseball players fell to the ground in disappointment. I ran around the bases, and when I got to home, I looked around and noticed I wasn't at the baseball field anymore. I looked around, and I was home. I was at my house.
But the Doctor wasn't me with anymore. I was alone.
I walked towards my house and knocked on the door. Nobody answered, but it was unlocked. I stepped in. The floorboards creaked as I realized no one was home. The entire town felt empty. I scanned the entire house to see nobody there. When I finally arrived to my room, I noticed Alfie. I let out a sigh of relief and opened the door fully, to see my best friend, Annabel, standing next to him.
"Alfie, what's going on?" I asked him.
"Oh, don't be foolish, May. He never loved you." She said.
Alfie leaned in, and they kissed. Alfie then lay back in bed, with Annabel still on top of him. He took off his shirt, and I became infuriated.
"Stop!" I yelled, but nobody was there.
My bed was now empty.
I ran outside, and the town was alive again. People were walking all around.
I noticed the Doctor in the midst of the crowd.
"Doctor!" I yelled, but he continued to walk. I chased after him.
"Doctor?" I asked as I was right behind him. "What's happening?!"
Immediately, everyone around me, including the Doctor, stopped in their tracks. They all turned and faced me.
"May Williams." A girl said as she stepped towards me. She had blond, curly hair. "Great grandchild of my mother, Amy Pond."
"Grandma?" I asked. She looked exactly how my mom described my Grandma River, even though I never met her.
"Now you are going to die." The Doctor said. The townspeople stepped towards me.
They were no longer people - they were now machines.
"Exterminate." They chanted in a robotic voice.
I stepped backwards, and my back hit a wall that wasn't there.
It was a door, and it instantly opened.
"So May, need a hand?" A voice asked, similar to that of my mother's.
"Mom?!" I asked.
"No, I'm Oswin. Oswin Oswald." The woman said.
I turned around, and I was surrounded by those robots again.
"Oswin?!" I yelled.
"If I were you, I'd run." She replied.
I ran, but I fell to the ground as something hit me.
I woke up in Manhattan.
I could tell by the huge buildings in the background, and the giant "I love New York" sign.
But I was at a cemetery this time.
I looked around, and saw a woman. She had orange hair, and freckles. She stood next to a man, about the same size, but with blond-ish hair.
An angel statue stood behind them, towering over the two.
"I'm Amy Pond. And this is Rory Williams. This is how we died," The woman said, and I knew her accent was Scottish. "And now it's your turn."
"This can't be happening!" I yelled, closing my eyes.
When I opened them, the couple was no longer there, and neither was the angel. I turned around, and the angel was staring at me.
My heart was pounding. I stepped back. I rubbed my eyes, making sure that I wasn't dreaming. The angel was now closer to me.
I needed to get to the TARDIS, but how?! The Doctor wasn't there.
I blinked, and I instantly woke up on the floor of the TARDIS.
"May! You're awake!" The Doctor said happily.
"What happened?!" I asked.
"The TARDIS started to shake and you instantly passed out. What happened to you?" He asked.
"No clue. There was a game of baseball, Alfie and Annabel, Angels and a girl named Amy Pond."
