Owen's POV
"Zach, c'mon! We have to go," I called. He sighed and followed me into the jungle.
"So," Zach started, " are you going to marry her?"
"Claire?" I asked, as if it wasn't obvious.
"No. Of course Claire!" Zach rolled his eyes. I thought on the question for a minute.
"Zach, I would love to marry her. But i don't know if she would want to marry me," I explained.
"Oh please, she would definitely say yes. She's like madly in love with you. Unless you don't love her-"
"Zach, is that even a question here? Of course I'm in love with her- isn't it obvious?"
"Yea, I guess."
"What do you mean ' I guess'?"
"Well, I don't know. How many times have you told her you loved her?"
"We've only said it once."
"And you want to marry her?" He laughed.
"Yea. What's so funny?"
"Nothing. It's just, why haven't you said it more than once?"
"What if she doesn't actually love me? Maybe when I said it a couple of days ago, it was just a first reaction."
"Trust me, it wasn't."
And the friendly little conversation we were having took a turn for the worst.
Roar.
"D-did you hear that?" Zach asked me.
"Zach, run as quick as you can."
"O-Owen," Zach stuttered. I turned around and there stood the T-Rex.
"Zach, don't move."
"Didn't plan on it!"
But then the dinosaur hit Zach and he went flying. He hit a tree and his head started to bleed. He couldn't be dead. I knew that in wasn't go to conscious by the end of this so I screamed
"Claire!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. She could come and bring us back to the shelter. Before I could think another word, the T-Rex clawed me and I fell to the ground, with a gash a few centimeters think, spreading throughout my chest. And that's all I can remember.
