Chapter 17- Family

Owen's POV

I woke up with Claire nuzzled into my shoulder. I smiled, I didn't want to move because it would hurt like hell, and it would wake up Claire- and she was extremely cute when she was sleeping. I mean sure, I've seen hurt sleep before, but not really with me. Her eyes fluttered open, she rubbed her eyes, her head still on my shoulder.

"Morning, babe," I said. I wasn't sure how she would react to the 'babe' card, but I decided it use it.

"Babe?" Claire asked, her eyes closing again.

"Yep," I laughed at her tiredness.

"I like you calling me that," she mumbled into my shoulder. I smiled again. She is adorable.

"Claire?"

"Mhmm?"

"Will you marry me?"

Her eyes shot open and she looked straight me.

"Wait? Seriously?" She asked excitedly. I rolled my eyes and kissed her. While we were still centimeters apart I softly said,

"Seriously, Claire. I want you to be my wife. I want to spend forever with you."

"Yes. A million times, absolutely, yes," she said. I was so happy. I couldn't wait to get off this island and marry her.

"I love you, Claire."

"I love you too, fiancé," she smiled.

"Fiancé. I like the sound of that."

She laughed her adorable little laugh. Right then Zach, who had been awake for awhile, bursted in.

"It's about time, Owen!!!" He cheered. I laughed and Claire blushed. Her face went as red as her hair. Then Zach joined in the laughter, and Claire responded with a glare at the both of us. This is going to be my family. And I will have to most beautiful, loving, caring, fiesty wife in the universe.
