Owen held two beautiful baby girls in my arms, everything seemed perfect. But this wasn't the case.
Owen Grady was attending his fiancé's, the mother of his children, grave today.
The sky was a deep grey color, and the raindrops had just begun to splash upon the newborn and their heartbroken father's noses. Owen looked down at the gravestone, which was imprinted with the words,
Claire Elizabeth Dearing, 1981-2016. Rest In Peace.
Owen still couldn't bare the thought.
It had been three months since Claire had passed. It was a joyous day, because he had gained two little daughters to call his own.
But he also lost the love of his life.
The funeral was a quiet, simple one. It was what Claire would've wanted. She never liked to draw attention to herself.
Owen missed Claire dearly, but he had to look past that to take care of his two new babies.
Owen was a single-dad, and he was still learning the basics. He knew he would have a struggle once the thought of Claire being gone wrapped around his head. He wanted Claire back. Owen didn't know if anything would work out now without Claire.
Owen would have to stay strong.
For his children.
For his family.
Even the spirit watching over them as we speak.
If two people are really in love, they will survive whatever is thrown at them.
No matter what.
