Chapter 16- Fears

Claire's POV

I heard someone scream my name. I looked to Gray and then I ran towards the sound. I saw huge dinosaur foot prints leading away, into the jungle. Then I saw Zach, against a tree.

"Zach?! Holy god, Zach!" I yelled running towards him. He was unconscious. I then had to take drastic measures. I dragged him by the arms back to the shelter. I laid him next to gray and then I went to go get Owen. I ran back towards the scene. I looked around, frantically. That's when I saw him. Blood running down his chest. My heart stopped. Not him too.

**5 minutes later**

Zach would be fine. Owen, I needed to stop the bleeding. I went outside and grabbed a small stick, and a thin vine. I sharpened the stick until I could thread it through Owen's gash. Luckily, I knew how to stitch. When I was a little girl, my father was a surgeon, and I was mesmerized by his occupation. One day, he taught me things, stitching a person up being one of them. I guess it comes in handy now. One stitch. Two. Three. Before I knew it, he was all stitched up. This would have to do until the get real help, but I'm no surgeon. I kissed Owen's forehead and whispered,

"Please don't die."

Then i turned my attention to Zach. He was still passed out. He didn't need stitches though, I was glad about that.

It's been two hours. I sat in the corner of the cave, alone. Memories flooded back from  when the I-Rex almost killed the ones I loved. I remember   a raptor almost killing me. I pretend to be strong, but the truth is- I'm not. I never can sleep alone. Owen doesn't know this. He sleeps in the guest bedroom and very rarely does he sleep in mine. I wake up every night, crying. I'm very good at hiding my feelings. I mean,  I managed to hide my feels for Owen from him for a while, it wasn't until the I-Rex incident that I actually opened up... Sorta. The only Owen knows is how much I'm afraid of thunderstorms ( because the thunder is loud, and it reminds me of roaring of the dinosaurs), the dark ( since you don't know what's out there), and actual dinosaurs. Well, all my fears were triggered right then. I looked out the cave to see pouring rain.

Boom.

I grabbed my legs and brought them to my chest.

Boom boom. Flash.

Thunder and lightning?! What could make it any worse!

Then the wind blew.

And it blew out the torch.

Darkness.

Great.

I looked around me. Nothing but darkness. Only the dim light from the lightening. I closed my eyes.

"We need more," Gray said.

"More what?" I asked as I watched Owen almost get killed. My heart was racing.

"More teeth."

I quickly grabbed a flare and ran off. I called Lowery,

"Open paddock 9!"

"Are you crazy?!"

"Be a man, and do something in your life."

"You didn't need to make it personal."

Then paddock 9 opened and out came the furious Tyrannosaurus Rex. I took a deep breath and ran as fast I could. I leaped onto the ground, just missing the T-Rex by inches.

I shot my eyes open. The thunder storm was still going on, the light was still out. I was alone.

Boom.

I slightly screamed, and when I did, Owen woke up.

"Claire?"

"Owen?! Owen!" I yelled into the darkness. I stood up and wiped my tears, I followed where the sound was coming from.

"Owen, don't move."

"What happened?" He asked.

I explained what happened to me. Shortly after that, he noticed I had been crying.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?"

I looked into his blue eyes and sighed,

"I thought you and the boys were going to die. And then the storm happened,"

I told him my fears. My oh so embarrassing fears.

"Oh, Claire," Owen said sympathetically. We put his arm around me and I snuggled into him. "I'm alive, I'm with you Claire. I love you so much," Owen said.

"I love you more," I said back.

"I seriously doubt that," Owen laughed. "I don't think anyone can love anyone as much as I love you."

I smiled and sat up. I kissed him.

"This is seriously a good way to wake up from being almost attacked from a dinosaur," Owen laughed. Owen kissed me again and I smiled into the kiss.

I was so glad he was okay.

Author's Note

3 CHAPTERS 1 DAY?!?!?! Well this is a first for me! I'm actually really proud of myself for if though, haha. Anyways, I have most of the storyline planned out ( the story WILL NOT be ending anytime soon though!) but I wanna see what you guys, my readers, want to see in the story! Please comment 1 thing you would like to see in this story! I will give you credit at the end of the chapter. If I don't use your idea, then I apologize! I unfortunately will not be able to use all of them!
