Hello everyone! I know it's been about 3-4 years since the last time I posted in 2022 and for anyone who still is reading you may have wondered where I've been. I stopped writing this fanfic because of worries I had that I was in over my head, that my ideas for this story were too big and that I wouldn't be able to remember all the important plot points and leave plotholes and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep the a quality with my writing that I would be satisfied with and provide quality content that you deserve. The same reasons that I've left my other fanfics hanging. I also got it into my head that my writing was too amateurish compared to real professionals after watching maybe one too many plot analysis breakdown videos on YouTube of stories and movies as well as my mc being a bit of a power fantasy and those worries stoped me from continuing. I've thought about it occasionally how I wish to come back and write this book and maybe finish my first fanfic.
Recently I gained a bit of clarity as I try my best to get into the animation college of my dreams. It's not about whether your work is perfect. The writer who lets themselves get in their head will never be able to finish and show their works to the world. Regardless of all the discourse that may come about the media, it's just a point in time and you're just doing the best that you could in that moment. Everyone will have regrets or things they feel they could do better. The key is to just stick with it and promise yourself to do even better in the next one. That's what I hope to do.
My updates will likely be sporadic as I'm busy trying to work on an art portfolio to try to follow my dreams. If I get into that college I don't doubt updates could slow more/stop for a while as I hear that animation students don't see the light of day until the summer, plus if I end up getting into the industry that could happen too. However there's no point for me to be concerned about it now or let that stop me from continuing a hobby I've missed and enjoyed. Thank you all for being here for the journey so far I hope you'll stick around to see the future. Idk if people even read Genshin fanfics anymore because the hype days of the game are over and many people dog on it as the old low hanging fruit gacha game, however that's not going to stop me from writing it. As long as at least one person reads and enjoys this fanfic it will have been worth it.
