(Y/n)'s POV

The sky is cold as the wind howls around us. Below stretching out in a wide endless expanse is a mottled pattern of green and white. The land lay far below us as our motley crew of five soar above fluffy clouds. Diluc, Jean, Aether and I use our wind gliders while Paimon floats in the air comfortably as usual.
"If any of us were to drop, it would be a long way down, one no normal human could survive." I think to myself as my (e/c) eyes take a glance below. As if he could read my thoughts, I hear Venti's soft lyrical voice in my head.
"Don't worry (Y/n). I won't ever let you fall." The Anemo Archon professes, his tone warm but serious and full of something else I couldn't quite identify. His promise is one I can't help but believe without a shadow of a doubt. Ever since we had met, the teal eyed man had been awfully kind to me. I was sure that no matter what happened, he was the kind of person I felt I could trust with my life. I'm broken out of my revelry by Aether's shout.

"The feeling of flying is exhilarating, just like it was the first time!" My blond travelling companion exclaims excitedly as he swings his body left and right.
"This is nothing, just a regular day for Paimon." The white haired fairy responds as she does a backflip in the air to show off.
"You better not get too used to it, Aether. With the help of my power you can fly almost like a bird. I'm afraid gliding in comparison will be rather boring." The raven haired bard warns the golden eyed man who laughs charmingly, a carefree smile upon his visage in response.
"I know, I guess I had better enjoy it while I can." He replies, followed by Diluc's smooth tenor.
"What exactly are we waiting for?" The Wine Tycoon asks with curiosity, his question directed at the man who was making our uninterrupted flight possible.

Before the green clad musician could respond, an earsplitting roar fills the air as the thundering sound of many large wings flapping is heard. Turning my head to the side, I react barely in time to swerve out of the way as The Dragon Of The East swoops towards us, his feathered tail flicking from side to side as Dvalin moves in front of us. Now that we're behind him, it is easy to notice the purple and pink spines along the ridge of his back nestled between his beautiful glowing stained glass wings. They ooze ominously with abyssal corruption.
"We were waiting for him of course." Venti begins lightly as the five of us steady ourselves in the air.
"That was a close one." The Acting Grandmaster sighs in relief as her blue eyes flit between each of us to confirm our safety.
"Don't worry, I've got everything under control." The raven haired man informs her kindly before explaining what we have to do next.
