Chapter 27: Carson

"You have pencils?"

"Yes."

"Your binder?"

"Yes."

"Your text books?"

"Yes, Cleo-"

"Your backpack is all packed, rig-"

"Yes, Shorty, everything is ready," Colton chuckled.

He circled his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. I sighed and laid my head on his chest, my body ringing with nerves at starting at a completely new college. Colton pressed two fingers underneath my chin and raised my face upwards to look at him.

"Don't stress out over the school, baby, you'll be fine. I'll be fine. I'm sure you'll love the school," he assured me.

I nodded my head and looked at the time. We had to leave if we wanted to get there in time for our first class. We got lucky that both of our classes started at the same time, even though they are different classes. Colton's hand trailed down my arm until they reached my hand and he interlaced our fingers together. We started walking to the front door, and he snatched up my bag and his backpack, and we were out the door.

The car ride to the school wasn't long at all, that is why I also love the placement of our apartment, because it was so close to the school. All in all, the ride took about seven minutes. The whole time, my knee was bouncing up and down with nerves and somewhat excitement that this was a whole new school that I would be attending with Colton.

We stepped out of the car. And Colton immediately came over to my side and grabbed onto my hand. I walked with him until we got to my first classroom, which just so happened to be a big lecture hall.

"Good luck," Colton smiled and brushed a piece of my hair behind my ear.

"I love you," I grinned.

"Love you too, babe."

Colton smirked and then spun around on his heel, his backpack on one shoulder and his other hand in his front pocket. His walk was so relaxed and laid back, it just made him even more attractive. Taking a deep breath, I pulled the door open and walked into the severely large lecture room. To my surprise, there was already quite a few people packed in there, so I walked over to somewhere where there wasn't very many people occupying the space around it, and plopped myself down in the chair. Pulling out my supplies, I began organizing my stuff neatly in front of me.

"Is this seat taken?"

My head looked up, and I was looking right at the guy from Target, Jimmy. My eyebrows rose with surprise, and I thought to myself, 'what a freaking small world.'

"Um, no. Go ahead, you can sit there," I smiled, pulling my binder off of the desk.

Jimmy smiled, a dimple appearing on one of his cheeks, and he took a seat next to me. He had a mop of brown curly hair on his head, and his eyes were brown, too. He had a sort of Italian look to him, and I wondered if he actually was Italian.

"I'm Jimmy. Or in your boyfriends case, Jim Jam," he laughed and stuck out his hand.

My cheeks heated up with embarrassment at his comment about Colton's nickname for him. I shook his hand, then placed mine back in my lap.

"Cleo. And I am very sorry about Colton, he is just a little more on the jealous side."

"Oh, it's fine, I understand."

I opened my mouth to say something else to him, but clamped it shut when the professor walked through the door and began the lecture. Biology was not my favorite subject, especially college level biology, but I tried my best to pay attention to the professor.
