Chapter 12: A skiing disaster
*UNEDITED*
"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!"
Somebody was jumping on my bed, and judging by the high pitched voice, it was definitely Chad. I rolled over, and before he could move, I pulled him into my arms and squeezed him as hard as I could.
"Cleo! I can't breathe!"
He was laughing, so I knew he was just joking around. Suddenly, the door to the room flew open and someone else came flying onto the bed. Since the bed is only a twin sized bed, the smallest bed of all, the heavy person basically landed on top of me! I made a sort of 'oomph' sound as the body weight landed on me, and I could feel his elbow digging into my ribs. I automatically knew it was Colton just because of the smell of his cologne. I used my hand and pushed against him, making him roll over me and on the other side of Chad who was smack in the middle, all the while, I was laughing my head off, I think we all were.
It's definitely a fact to say that it was like we were a can of sardines squished together.
"I wanted to join in on all the fun."
I turned my head to look at him. His hair was all distorted from all the rolling, but it looked so good, and his eyes were a blazing bright blue.
"I'm hungry Colton!"
Chad looked so much like Colton, it's unbelievable. Colton sat up on his elbows and said
"Alright little guy, let's go get some food, yeah?"
"Yeah!"
I smiled as I watched Colton help Chad off of my bed, and it wasn't until I saw Colton actually standing, that I realized he had no shirt on. Just tan, smooth skin...with abs and everything else that is perfect on a guy. My face suddenly turned warm, and I bit my lip and looked away from him. I really have to stop all these crazy emotions that keep surfacing, it's beginning to become unstoppable and a really bad habit.
"You coming Cleo?"
I turned my head, my face still warm from blushing.
"Yeah."
"Are you blushing?"
Colton's eyebrow raised up with question, then a smirk formed onto his face.
"What? No I'm not blushing!"
"You are so blushing, big time!"
Crossing my arms, I stood up flustered and replied
"Oh my god, no I'm not!"
"Yes."
"No!"
"Yes."
"No-"
"I'm hungry!"
Both of our heads snapped down to look at Chad who looked more than annoyed at us acting like eight year olds.
"Right! Come on Chad, let's go get some breakfast."
I grabbed onto Chads hand, and when we passed Colton, I shot him a glare, to which, he only proceeded to grin back at me. I had to find an excuse to get out of Colton accusing me of blushing, mostly because he was one-hundred percent correct, I was completely blushing full out. We walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where it seems most of the family was already scarfing down eggs, pancakes, waffles, and toast. The smell hit me like a wave, and I didn't realize how hungry I was until my mouth was literally watering on the inside.
"I was wondering when you guys would come down!"
Jacklen smiled brightly at Chad and I.
"Yeah, we're super hungry."
