Emanuel runs down the hall, passing a few bodies littered up and down the hallway. Their blood staining the white walls and floor. Emanuel nearly trips several times over the blood and bodies as he tries to escape the building.
Emanuel slides around a corner, he peeks back around and sees a boy dressed in black clothing and a machine gun in hand trudging down the hall.
"Oh fuck." Emanuel says as he continues running down the hall. He passes an open door and sees a few more dead bodies inside it. He quickly gets in and closes the door behind him softly. Emanuel hears the shooters footsteps in the hall getting close.
Emanuel looks down at the bodies then to the blood.
"I'm so sorry." Emanuel softly says as a tear slides down his cheek. He lays beside two bodies and begins putting his hands in the pools of blood and rubbing it all over him to make it seem as though he's dead. He quickly grabs the body of a teenage boy to his right and throws it top of him. The boys head hanging over Emanuel's shoulder, blood dripping out the bullet hole in his forehead.
He hears the doorknob rattle, Emanuel closes his eyes and holds his breath as the door opens.
The shooters footsteps slowly walk into the room, he stops walking. Emanuel hears him reload his machine gun.
As the shooters finishes he walks out the classroom and heads down the hall, away from the room.
Emanuel opens his eyes and looks around the room, he sees no sign of the shooter. Emanuel takes a deep breath and lifts the boys body off of him. He softly places the boy back down on the ground.
Emanuel gets up on his elbows and looks around the room. He notices the teacher dead in his rolly chair.
He gasps when he remembers the teacher and subject.
"This is... Gary's fifth period classroom." Emanuel softly says as he feels goosebumps all up and down his arms. He stands up and sees a boy sitting on his knees towards the back of the class. Emanuel slowly makes his way to the boy, he walks around to see his face.
"Oh god."
Emanuel immediately pukes on the wall, he turns away from the boy as tears begin streaming down his face. Emanuel looks down at the backpack at his feet with a name tag on it reading, "Gary Ortiz"
Emanuel is suddenly startled when he hears gun shots echo through the halls and students screaming in horror.
"That sounded like Sarah." Emanuel says as stares at the door. He gulps loudly as he begins debating on whether to go help her or stay in the classroom where it's safe.
He hears more students scream, including Sarah.
Emanuel runs out of the classroom and down the hall. He stops when he sees flashes of the gunshots coming from the library. He walks to the double doors and peeks in through the windows. He sees a few of the students bodies laying across the floor, dead. The librarian laying on her desk with a knife lodged in her back.
His eyes land on Sarah, who is being dragged by her hair across the ground by the shooter.
The shooter throws her into a book shelf, it collapses on top of her. She cries out in pain as the books crush her.
Sarah begins pleading to the shooter to not kill her. The shooter hits her in the face with the gun. She slowly looks up and sees the machine gun aimed at her face, her eyes dart to the door. Emanuel and Sarah's eyes meeting, he immediately feels the fear in her eyes.
Emanuel opens the door and slams it shut, grabbing the attention of the shooter. The boy darts his head to the door and sees Emanuel with the blood smeared all over his face and clothing. The shooter aims at Emanuel and shoots, Emanuel ducks down and makes a run for it. The shooter runs after him, leaving Sarah behind.
