Thirteen - Pregnancy Cravings and a better boyfriend.
9 months later
The soft whine Niall let out when he was unable to roll over on the bed was loud, waking Harry up and the blonde was crying, pregnancy hormones getting the best of him, the big baby bump was there, and Harry groaned at his unpleasant awakening, wrapping his arms around Niall's waist to hoist him up the bed. The blonde sobbed and Harry rolled his eyes fondly at the 18 year old. "I can't even see my feet! I'm so fat!" Harry chuckled, handing Niall the chocolate from the bedside drawer. He had learnt that chocolate and ice cream is the most important thing for a pregnant woman or man. Niall's cries subsided almost immediately when he spotted the chocolate bar, reaching out for it.
Harry sighed in content as he watched the red blotchy cheeks of the pregnant male, pulling him in for a soft good morning kiss. They had been closer than ever, and to say Harry was happy was an understatement, Niall was now officially his boyfriend, he swore he was going to take care of the child that stayed inside the big tummy of the other boy, like it was his own. "You fine now babe?" Harry whispered, caressing Niall's cheeks and the blonde smiled, leaning in for another kiss. Niall nodded, pecking Harry on the lips as he was helped up.
Niall will admit that Harry had been treating him good all these times, even though there were stupid couple banter most of the times, none of them cared enough to let it get to them. Niall loved the kisses, and the constant love he was receiving from the younger boy but it didn't felt right, he wasn't Zayn. Everyone claimed that the baby bump was Harry's child, from his relatives to almost everyone in the neighborhood. His mother had called three months ago, proving that Bobby was truly sorry for everything he had said, but Niall didn't bother going back home, Harry wouldn't let him anyways. Niall was a bit guilty that he someone felt like he was faking this - that he couldn't give Harry what he really deserves. He was afraid to love Harry, mainly because he didn't love the other boy. Harry knew it too, from when he started saying I love you's to Niall and never get a reply back except for a sad smile; it was enough to prove a point.
Zayn hasn't called, text or even check on Niall. Niall was heartbroken to say at least, he expected the other boy to be more sentimental about this. More mature. Niall hated that the other boy still had a control over him, a wicked game that seems like he was always losing. All the bullshit that Zayn had put him through and yet, he still wanted to be with Zayn, to receive the attention and love he craved for and it was only from Zayn, not Harry, not his mother, not the universe, but Zayn.
After breakfast, Niall found himself being more emotional than he had ever been. He missed Zayn, needed him. Niall let out a strangled weep as he sat himself down on their bed just in time Harry had come out of the wardrobe completely dressed for school. "Ni. . . babe are you okay?" Niall just let out more strings of sobs, he often felt sorry for the curly haired lad, dumping all his problems on him and such. Harry let out a sigh as he crouched down next to his boyfriend. "I feel like dying." Niall cried, having Harry pulling him into a hug. "Stop, Ni. The stress is not good for both you and George, all right?" Harry whispered, smiling softly as he kissed Niall's lips and than the baby bump. Niall nodded weakly with a soft smile on his face, "I love you, you know that. . . right?" That got Niall to start crying again, "I'm sorry, Harry." Harry just stared at the crying guy confused. "I'm sorry for not falling in love with you and instead falling in love with that - that bastard." Niall's voice dropped to barely above a whispered and Harry just smiled, slow and sad. "I know darling. Stay strong for me, babe?" Niall nodded, sobbing as he let Harry kiss him one more time before the younger boy left for school, they were graduating in a month, well Harry was. Niall wasn't suitable enough to go to school anymore.
After Harry left, Niall went into the kitchen to calm himself down with some milk, and some chocolates - pregnant cravings are as real as period cravings. He sat down on the couch, opening a random channel that had a cartoon showing, Niall watched it until he had finished his chocolate and then fall asleep. He was woken up by the ringing of his house phone and he, difficultly, lifted himself off the couch and waddled over to the phone that was on the other side of the room. Niall yawned as he picked up the phone, rubbing the sleepiness away from his eyes.
"Hello?" He mumbled, tired and drowsy. "Is this Niall Horan? Harry Style's boyfriend?" He heard a voice spoke on the other side and he panicked, heart beating faster at the unfamiliar voice on the other side. "Y-Yes, this is him." Niall struggled to get out, knowing that whatever was coming his way was bad news. "Mr. Harry Styles had been in an accident and you were the first person he had requested to call before he had passed, so we called to announce you Mr Horan." The - what seems to be - a nurse spoke on the other line. Niall swore he stopped breathing for a moment, eyes prickling with tears as he hung up the phone and hired a cab to the local hospital even though it was his first time leaving the house since he had became pregnant.
He had several thoughts running around in his head as he urged the cab driver to go faster, the man giving him annoyed side glares. He remembered that he hadn't called Anne, so he did, informing the mother with loud sobs and stutters. Anne promised that she would bring Maura, Louis and Destine over to the hospital with her voice shaky and wavering. And before he knew it, he was running into the hospital.
