10 months later...

Kim Jisoo knew exactly where she was headed as soon as she got off the plane.

It was a bit of a gloomy day in Seoul, but the sun still managed to peek through the clouds at times.

She hadn't seen Jinyoung in months. The thought of him, his easy smile, his soft laugh, flooded her with warmth and anticipation.

Her feet were already moving faster than she'd intended, almost as if they had a mind of their own, pulling her toward the exit.

She quickly got through the airport with the help of her bodyguards. She wondered how reporters found out about her return to South Korea, but she knew they had their ways.

Jisoo managed to climb into her van before her driver sped away to the location she provided.

Her hands were shaking as she knocked on their door. The seconds felt like minutes. She glanced around, making sure no one else was there. Then, just as she was about to reach into her pocket to message him, the front door creaked open.

There he was.

Jinyoung stood in the doorway, his expression unreadable at first. Then his eyes flicked over her, as though his brain was still catching up with what he was seeing.

"Soo?" His voice was soft, unsure, but his face lit up with a mixture of shock and disbelief.

She smiled, a breathless, wide grin spreading across her face. "Surprise."

The realization seemed to hit him all at once. He stepped forward, his arms reaching for her, but she was already running toward him. The world around them fell away as she crashed into him, her hands pressing into his chest, her heart against his.

"You didn't tell me you were coming back," he whispered, his fingers threading through her hair.

"That's usually how surprises work," she murmured back in a joking manner, feeling the relief of finally being home in his arms.

"Why are you here?" he questioned once they pulled away from their embrace. "Not that I don't want you here, of course I do, I just—"

"Me and my members are here for the awards ceremony this weekend," she explained with a light chuckle. "But I caught an earlier flight than them so I could spend more time with you."

"I've missed you so much," Jinyoung smiled, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "We are going out the whole day together, let me call my manager to cancel all my schedules."

He retreated into his room, leaving a giddy Jisoo in the living room of the GOT7 apartment. It looked the same as the last time she had been there, but she knew that so much has also changed since then.
