Harry's POV

"You can tell she's still crazy in love with me." I confess to Dan.
Laughing, I continue. "She's obsessed with me!" I speak of Y/n, who's always desperately clinging at my side.
It's been a few months now, since I told her to stay away from Grady, and Grady to back off Y/n.

"It's crazy how you notice." Dan snickers, scribbling in his textbook.

"I think I'll ask her for advice though. She is my best friend after all." I grunt, and Dan gasps mockingly.

"I'm your best friend! You can ask me!" He shouts, disturbing the peaceful classroom.

"No, Dan. You wouldn't understand.. I've got to ask her for some advice on Tianni." I pat his back, standing up just as the bell rings. "What's her next class?" Dan asks as we step out into the crowded hallway.

"English." I mumble, and he follows me, when I spot her leaving her locker.
"Y/n!" I vie for her attention, and she turns her head, meeting my eyes.

I weave through the crowd, "Wait!" She stops walking, as I race to her. "I need your help." A smile is ghosting on her lips. She moves closer, "What is it?" I clear my throat.

"I need advice." I sheepishly grin, the thought of Tianni being my girl causing all types of warmth bursting in my stomach.

"There's this girl, and she's so beautiful." I stare into her eyes, which somewhat grow with hope, and I don't try to decipher why.

"But not only that, she's so kind and smart. She's different from the rest." The image of Tianni pops up in my head; her endearing smile coming to view.  "She's also got this smile. God, it makes me go weak in the knees! And her laugh.." I trail off, and Y/n is grinning.

"Well, what do you need my help for?" There's a flush of Crimson in Y/n's full cheeks. "I don't know how to ask her out. Like on a date." I shrug, cluelessly.

"Yes, you do Harry. You know she won't turn you down anyway." She assures me, giving me the confidence I needed.

"Okay. Thank you. You're amazing." I hug her, walking off, to go find Tianni.

Y/n's POV

"Have you asked her yet?" I sat in the passenger seat of Harry's car, fumbling with my fingers nervously.

"Yeah, I have." Harry is in all smiles right now, and I grow confused.

He's already asked, but he never asked me. Why did I think he was going to ask me? I should've known.

"That's great!" I grin, despite my aching heart, that began to pulsate at a slowing rate.

"Where are you taking her?" I don't look up at him, keeping my eyes on my boots. "Secret." Harry simply puts.

"If you need me, just call. Okay? I'll be there." I give him a small smile, as I gather my things hurriedly, to get as far away from him as possible, so he doesn't see me cry.

A few hours and a bunch of hot chocolate later, Harry shoots me a text, asking whether or not I wanted to come over. I text him back in seconds, accepting the invitation. I wouldn't ever decline him, he was still my best friend.
He'll always be that.
Never will it be more.

Authors Note (:
