"Alright, everyone. It's been amazing journey to discuss one of Austen's phenomenal work. And I have to say, you kids have interesting opinions." Everyone cheers in reply. "But, I would like to remind you about your final work."
Professor Hudson had told the class about the final work on the first day. Students have to write at least one paragraph each week and at the end of the semester, it will be submitted to the professor as a book.
I've written probably seventy five percent from the whole story. It wasn't easy though. I had to write them at midnight because I usually too tired after work and just went straight to bed.
"Hey, Grace," Niall called me in a hushed tone. I look up to see he, in fact, is still writing his story. "How's your story? Have you finished it yet?"
I shake my head before continuing. "But I can tell you that I've done a lot more writing than you."
He stopped writing in his book. "Fuck off. I was stuck for a very long time," he tries to make excuses for his lack of writing. I laugh quietly and ruffle his dyed hair. "How do you do it anyway? I mean, between your tight schedule and work. If I were you, I'd ask people to get it done."
"I just try to write as many as I can when I'm in the mood, even it's on my phone," I tell him truthfully while getting ready to going out from the class.
Niall nodded. "Are you coming to the party this Friday?"
Niall had asked me the exact question every two weeks. And I always told him no every single time he asked me. So, I'm a bit surprised to see him asking me this again. Niall knows I'm not exactly a party person, he even once came to the dorm just to check on me.
"No. I told you this countless times," I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Oh, come on! The semester will end soon and we never hang out," he has this doe look on his face which makes me want to squish him to death. "I took your rejection plenty of times, okay? But not this one. I'll pick you up at ten."
"What? Niall, that's not fair!" I groan loudly.
But Niall just shakes his head and grins at me. "You can't bail me on this one, Somerset. See you Friday!"
With that, he walked away. He just left me dumbfounded in the class. That stupid little leprechaun just tricked me and I didn't even expect it.

It'd been a hectic day. The bakery was so busy today, which actually understandable seeing as tomorrow is weekend. Uni students are known to wake up late on weekends so it is normal for them to buy foods a day before.
Anne couldn't even help me in the kitchen. She was stuck on cashier duty while Will was busy taking orders from everyone. I had learned all of the basic pastries, so Anne just trusted me for helping Andrew with everything— mixing butter, baking. I also have to decorate them as well because that's my main job. No pressure at all.
I just finished changing my clothes and reaching out to the high shelf to get my bag when I heard my phone ringing. I huffed out, struggling to retrieve the damn bag.
Will came in a few seconds later, helping me out. "There you go, shortie," he laughs.
I glare at him before answering the call which apparently from Niall.
"Ni—"
Niall doesn't give me any time to greet him. "'ey Grace, I pray to God you don't forget about tonight," I can see him smirking from the other line.
