Echidna, is a story with influences of Ancient Egyptian Mythology and culture. It is set in the modern world, but the events in the book span millennia. The protagonist is witty and sharp tongued, Camille a girl from New York who thinks she knows all she wants out of life. Of course, things take a turn for the strange and life isn't that simple anymore:

Now let us rewind to the beginning, to where the curse of the Echidna started and let us witness the fall of an imperfect love. Enter a world where magic is real, where good and evil are bound to show their faces. A blessing from a higher power causes a family to grow in children and for Princess Kamilah to have a chance to live a life in luxury as well as her sisters, but all changes when she meets the devil; Echidna. Afraid and naïve, the young girl listens to the mysterious demon and accepts her new fate by giving her blood, her soul up and living the life that was planned before her.

Her lost innocence causes her lineage to pay the price. That is until Camille is born, a descendent of the fallen princess. The curse has been around for thousands of years and a contract must be made, but can true love change it all?

A sinful kiss, a forbidden love and a change of heart costs Camille the life of her mother and soon the devil is after her innocent blood. What can she do to change her fate? Can she change it in time before the handsome man in her dreams takes her and makes her see the world anew?

"I'm dying. Plain and simple. I'm dying and someone has claim over my soul. Someone who claims loves me more than time itself, but I have no idea who. He comes to me in dreams trying to persuade me that it is alright that I'm dying. I am afraid, but I must do this for everyone that has been sacrificed; my mother the most recent. It would be almost alright, if I wasn't in love with another. A handsome man with a secretive past. A handsome man with baggage. Oh well, I'm dying anyway I might as well fall for the married man before hell takes me over."
