Chapter 23- Real Dreams

Leaning on a tree breathing heavily,you took a break from running deeper into the forest. You didn't even know how you ended up there,and you didn't care either,you just wanted to leave. As you turned around,you heard the heavy foot steps again,catching your breath,you keep running. You didn't know what was making those steps,if it was following you or not,you just needed to get away from it fast. Running as fast as you could,you started slowing down. Peeking behind you,you stop hearing the steps,you smiled and looked straight forward. Widening your eyes,you try to stop but your feet keep moving. Right before your eyes,you see a cliff. Trying your best to stop nothing works,until the unexpected happened.

You jumped.

You hugged yourself tightly so when you fall it wouldn't hurt,but nothing happens. As you slowly open your eyes,you see yourself standing in the forest again. Confused,you blink rapidly,is this a dream? Or is it real?

"Hello,Y/N." you heard a voice behind you.

You completely frozed,it was him. Definitely him. Suddenly he's right infront of you right before your eyes. You take a few steps back.

"It's rude to ignore people." he plainly said.

You clutched your teeth,"Well you're not a person,so I don't see a problem." you spatted. He only laughed,laughed and laughed.

"You won't be one,either."

You became silent,not daring to make a move infront of this demon. Zalgo approached you slowly as you just stood there. As he stood right infront of you,you look at him dead straight in the eyes,his red eyes making contact with your e/c ones. You glared plainly at him,surprisingly,he was calm.

Zalgo observed you closely,very closely. He didn't make a move,he wanted to see your move,he wanted to try you. Waiting patienly,he finally sensed your hands tensing up to fists. The demon only smiled widely,he wanted to see you try.

As you aimed your fist at his face,he moved slightly to the right. You threw another one as he moved to his left. You kept trying,trying,trying and trying. Growling,you ran off in the distance,you didn't want to deal with him. As you reached what seemed light,you stopped on your tracks.

He was there again. Running the other way,he was there,too. Heading towards the left,there he was. Turning to try to go right,none other than him was there.

F^ck.

Knowing there was no escape from him,you approached him. Standing right on his face,"Leave. Me. Alone." you said plainly. You were tired of him,you were tired of everything,you were tired of life. Turning around to walk away,he grabbed your shoulder. Looking up at him with a dark glare,a silver glow grows on your iris. You had to know,you needed to know.

"What do you want from me?"

He let go of your shoulder and placed his hands behind his back as his stare at you became cold and boring.

"Let's go down to business,shall we? I came for what belongs to me. You,my dear,belong to me.".

Taking a few steps back,you run towards him. Just a few feet away from him,you jumped. Before he knew it,you kicked him straight in the chest with both feet. As he falls,you sit down on his chest and apply pressure on his neck with your hand. "I belong to no one. I may not know what's going on,but I will never give myself up to some demon like you,Zalgo.".

Zalgo chuckled in response and right before your eyes could comprehend anything,he disappeared. Standing back on your feet,you turned around and see him smiling widely. "I see they've trained you pretty well. Hmmm..." he looks up at the sky,"I can't stay longer.". Turning his head towards you,"You'll show hell,you've been thru it."
