Chapter 29- Hurt

Slowly opening your eyes,you looked around your surroundings. You soon realized that you're back in your own room back at home.

"Uh?" you mumbled as you tried to move. Strange,you were sitting down on the floor. Standing up,you slowly made your way downstairs. No one was there.

You checked the kitchen,no one.

Knocked on your parents room,no response.

Opened the door,no one was inside.

Confused,you were making your way to the backyard. Opening the door and walking out,you stopped on your tracks. A man was standing there with his hands inside his pants pockets as his back faced you.

"Umm...hello?" you asked but he didn't answer. You walked up to him and tapped his shoulder,"Hello?" you asked once more. He only reacted with a 'Hmm?' as he turned around and faced you. Your e/c eyes widen in surprise as they're gazed on another pair of e/c eyes just like yours. Taking a step back,you stare at him in awe. He wore a blue with black stripes buttoned-shirt and a pair of baggy brown pants,he seemed to be on his late 30's. His face,it looked so familiar. As you thought deeply,he smiled. His smile,you knew exactly who he was.

"D-dad?" you asked as your voice cracked alittle as you tried your best to not cry. He chuckled,"Good to know you still remember your old man,Y/N.". You ranned towards him with your arms open and wrapped them around his tall figure. "Dad!" you cried out and he patted your head,"Shh,don't cry." he assured. Looking up into his eyes,you smiled. "Wait..."you pulled away from him,"What am I doing here? What happened?" you started asking,you gasped,"What happened to Jeff?".

He grabbed your shoulder as he rubbed it with his thumb in a comforting way,"Y/N,do you remember what happened when you met with Zalgo and Williams back in the forest?" he asked. You thought to yourself,thinking and remembering deeply until it hit you,"Me and Jeff started fighting against them. Jeff got badly hurt and I took on Zalgo myself to make sure he didn't get hurt. Then he managed to get back on his feet until he passed out thanks to Williams. After that,I blacked out too." you responded..

Nodding,he looked up at the sky. "Dad,what I am doing here?" you asked him. He only looked down at you,"Am I dead?". Shaking his head no,you sighed in relief,"Then why?".

"Well,Y/N... You actually brought me here so I'm not so sure why but hey," he smiled down at you with his e/c eyes,"atleast I'm back." you both hugged and you shredded tears on his shoulder. As he pulled away,you wiped your tears away,"D-dad." you sobed out,"W-why didn't y-you c-co-come back as y-you promised?". His smile soon turned down into a frown as his facial features turned down to a sad tone.

"I'm sorry...." he said,"I would tell you what happened but... I wouldn't be allowed to..." he explained. You were about to say something until something else came to mind,"Where's mom?". He shook his head and said "I haven't seen her since her death. I guess she's still finding a way." as he sighed.

Before any of the two knew it,the once blue sky started turning dark and what seemed your home started breaking down.

"Oh no..." your father said. You looked at him as he looked at you back,"I have to go..." he plainly said as he started walking away to what seemed forever on your backyard. "No! Dad,don't leave me again!!" you cried out as he kept walking away and darkness surrounded you as light covered him.

You were broken,your father just left you again without explanation. Falling on your knees,you started stroking your hair thru your hands over and over again. It didn't seemed to help you calm down and before you knew it,you screamed from the top of your lungs.

"WHY AGAIN??! WHY AT A TIME LIKE THIS?!" you yelled out as tears rolled down your eyes. A silver glowing glows in your iris as you felt anger and yet broken inside. You didn't understand the feeling but it didn't matter to you.
