Draco hadn't shown up to breakfast or potions, she sat in class, a feeling of worry lingered in her, she never felt worried about Draco, but him asking her to not leave the castle and to leave him alone, it didn't make any sense. She didn't like being told what to do but she somehow always obeyed him, even when she didn't want to, she couldn't resist him. She hated herself for it. "Since its the weekend tomorrow I was thinking we treat ourselves tomorrow night~" Hermione whispered "And do what?~" Y/n asked "We get all dolled up and go to the three broom sticks, I heard there is a party going on there~" Y/n raised her eyebrow "A party?~" Hermione nodded "I suppose~" Y/n responded "Why don't you ask Blaise to join us? or even Malfoy, I bet he'd love it~" Hermione giggled as she looked back down at her work. She didn't think that was a ba idea, maybe being with Blaise will distract her, but a part in her brain told her it would be a perfect way to get Draco's attention, god she hated thinking that way, why was she so desperate? she really was pathetic. Y/n caught herself looking back at the door to see if he would walk in but he never did. Class ended and Y/n walked out with Hermione, they walked down the corridor and stood by the wall as Ron and Harry talked to Hermione, Y/n looked down the corridor and Draco was walking in their direction, she took a deep breath as he approached, he glanced into her eyes for a split second before looking away, walking right past her. She turned her head, her eyes followed him until he disappeared around the corner, why was he skipping class and breakfast? that wasn't like him. Draco had skipped lunch as well, and all of the afternoon classes, she was really starting to feel the worry fester larger inside of her, was he starving himself just to avoid her? if that was the case, he was just as pathetic as her then. Y/n felt guilty for skipping care for magical creatures but she listened to Draco, she did not leave the castle, was he really that shaken from her encounter with that black figure? or was there something else? something he hadn't told her. She didn't think much of it. Y/n walked into the common room, Draco was sat on the sofa, great. She stood there, hesitating "You skipped all day, why?" she asked, she heard him sigh "You don't listen very well mud blood" he stood up and glanced at her before leaving the common room, bumping into her shoulder on his way out "Asshole" she said as she sat on the sofa.
Draco:
He walked down the dim corridors, it was almost curfew, but he didn't care, he couldn't be near her, she made it so difficult to resist, her scent always lingered in his nose when she was near, her pheromones made him sick. He blamed her beautiful scent on the way he acted sometimes, one sniff of her neck and it was like a monster had taken over him. He had to stay at Hogwarts, meaning the distance between them would cause him so much torment, he craved her, missed her taste. He didn't think he would be able to dance with her at the ball, being close to her after forcing himself away, he would probably kill her on that ballroom floor from how bad he wanted her. The words replayed in his head, Kill her. He shook his head to erase the thought. He couldn't bare to see the soul leave her pretty eyes, be the one to hear the last breath exit her pretty lungs, feel her warm skin turn cold, watch those rosey cheeks turn pale. He clenched his hands into fists as he walked, picturing her lifeless body, he stopped walking and squeezed his eyes closed, death, her screams, their screams, her face...the fear in her eyes...he hated himself, he tortured himself everyday to try and get that picture out of his head, oh that pretty face of hers "Im sorry~" he whispered to himself before he continued walking.
Y/n:
She stared at the fireplace, she wondered if she had done something to him to make him want her to avoid him, was he ashamed? annoyed? angry? or was he just as confused as she was with her feelings. She didn't know anymore, she couldn't understand him as much as she tried to, she wasn't just desperate for his touch but also to read his mind, but to understand his thoughts. He was so difficult to read, he was always portraying a different person it seemed, like he was in a play and only he knew the script. Who knew a boy could cause her so much problems and peace at the same time, as cruel as he was, she found peace in him somehow. They were both involved with darkness, just his was battling the darkness and she just lived in hers. She wanted him to be the one to pull her out, but when he got her to the surface he dropped her, practically pushed her back down into it. Her eyes started to tear and she hugged herself, she felt alone, even though she was surrounded by friends she still felt alone, it was a different type of alone, she was a hopeless romantic, she never thought she would be that, being intimate never crossed her mind but when she got to feel Draco like she did, she wanted more. She wanted him to fill that void, wanted him to cure the pain she buried inside of her, but he seemed to just cause her more pain when he treated her cruelly. She hated him. She wanted to hate him.
Draco:
He waked back into the common room, he walked over to the sofa and saw her asleep on it, a small smirk curled into his lips as he stared at her, she looked peaceful, thats all he ever wanted for her, peace. He knew he could never give her that, peace wasn't his specialty, only chaos. He grabbed a blanket and gently lied it on top of her, she moved and he backed up, soaking in the sight of her before he left. Seeing her at peace eased his thoughts, the terrible thoughts. Draco took a deep breath before walking up to his dorm. leaving her at peace.
