Letting The Tears Flow

Jennifers POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I fell asleep with Ms. Reminis note she gave me. I smiled and was actually a bit excited about the day. I got up and got dressed quickly. I decided to put my hair in a bun with jeans, sandals and a brown long sleeve. I ran down the stairs and saw my dad was already awake and drinking. My smile faded quickly as he starred at me.

"Where are you going hu?"

"School..."

"I never signed any papers for you to go to school."

I grabbed an apple and my bag and opened the door.

"Hey! Answer me!"

"Because I am foraging my moms signature!"

I saw his face get red but before he could even think about coming near me, I closed the door and ran. I didn't look back knowing he is capable of running after me and beating me. I kept running till I got to the school. I was tired. I knew I was going to be safe when I stepped on school grounds and yet, I was 10 minutes early. I started walking towards the school as I felt my tears starting to fill up. Then I heard a family voice call to me.

"Hi Jennifer. Your a bit early. School doesn't open gates for another 10 minutes."

It's Ms. Remini. I looked down and pushed my tears back. Then looked back up at her.

"Oh my gosh what happened to your eye Jennifer?"

Those words came out and I started to freak out. I lifted my hand up to my eye and it still pretty hurt.

"Um, I um, I was walking home and I ran into a pool while on my phone."

She lifted Her hand up and slightly touched my cheek and around my eye with her thumb.

I got goosies and my heart started to pound while my stomach flipped. Her hands were so soft. And then it reminded me of mom... I feel the tears wanting to come but I pushed them.

"I'm fine..."

"Jennifer, are you sure?"

"I am sure."

I smile to reassure Her. She smiles back. Her smile is so sweet and heart filling, and her lips look so soft too. No Jenny, stop it!

"Ok, if you want, you can come to my classroom for now then go to class when it's time."

"Oh, thank you."

"Its my pleasure. Come on."

Ms. Remini POV

We were walking to my classroom and I couldn't stop looking at her. Her eye looks so bad. Would her dad do that? No he wouldn't. I can tell she wanted to cry and at times it would seem that she just was so happy that she didn't want to anymore. I tried to keep her smiling because I knew something was bugging Her. Maybe I can ask her what's wrong during lunch since she does want to stay with me.

I looked at her and smiled and admiring Her reflection. She really was beautiful. Her voice was so quiet but I wish I could find something that would make her get out of being in her shy zone.

"So, what are your hobbies?"

I unlocked my classroom door and we walked in. She sat on my chair and she sat back.

"That is my seat."

"I think you can spare your seat to me for a little while Haha."

I felt like she was teasing me. I laughed at her and sat in a student desk.
