New book already!? Wow I surprised you didn't I?
Kirstie's POV
"Scott cmon we have to pack for music camp!" I groaned trying to get Scott to focus. He got up from the floor trying to stop laughing and actually stopped.

"Fine! Fine! But you really need to stop tickling me," I smirked. For about another hour Scott and I talked and packed. We always went to music camp together. Even though we weren't the best of friends, (considering we've never hung out at his house.) but we still enjoy each other's company at music camp.

How can I describe music camp? It's a fun, overnight, musical, learning experience as their brochure referred to. I swear it's the cheesiest camp in the world but I always have a blast. Scott's phone began buzzing and he picked it up.

"Hey mom!" He started enthusiastically. His mom began speaking and his smiled dropped as soon as she started. "What?" He answered angrily. Uh oh. "But why him?" He protested and questioned, furiously, "ugh. Fine whatever. But just so you know I'm not making any contact with him while we're there." Than he hung up, sighed, and sat down. "You won't believe what just happened." He huffed shaking his head. I sat down next to him and rubbed his back.

"What happened?" I asked curiously.

"My brother Mitch is being forced to come with us to music camp," this made me shocked, "and the worst part is, is that we both have to stay in a cabin with him." I rolled my eyes. I've heard bad things about that boy and there is no way I'm going to go to camp with him.

"I know I haven't met Mitch yet, but judging by the stories you've told me, I know that this shouldn't happen. There is no way I'm going to let that boy ruin my camp experience." Camp is a month long... Which means I have to spend a whole month with this D bag. I'd rather be in jail. Just saying. "Why is he even going to camp with us? I mean I know he likes music, but why? He's not nerdy like us." Scott nodded his head and sighed.

"Apparently him and his little group of friends decided to spray paint a few not so nice words on one of the city hall walls. I don't know what has gotten into him lately." He said doing an impression of his mom. This made me laugh.

"Well if we actually want to get to camp we better start packing. It is tomorrow Scottie." We both got up and continued packing until Scott had to go to dinner. I than had dinner and went straight to bed, excited for tomorrow.

Scott's POV
*the next morning*
"I just don't understand why he has to come. I mean is music camp really the best solution to this problem? I mean why isn't he in juvy?" I asked confused. My mother sighed and motioned for me to sit on the couch. Soon Mitch called from upstairs.

"Man I really feel loved Scott." I rolled my eyes. Why do I have to have a dickhead as a step-brother?

"Why did you have to marry mike? Mitch is literally the stupidest person on earth." I protested angrily. My mother shook her head and headed back to the kitchen.

"Wow Hoying that's the best you could come up with?" Mitch yelled back. I rolled my eyes.

"Mitch stop that!" Mike yelled. "Scott didn't say anything." I heard Mitch scoff and I folded my arms.

"Yeah right!" Mitch hissed heading back into his room, slamming the door behind him. I huffed as Mike approached me.

"God sometimes I wish Mitch was more civilized again. I don't know what his problem is." Mike said sitting down looking at the floor helplessly. I nodded.

"You mean Mitch was actually a civilized kid? Wow. Surprising." Mike laughed.

"Yeah but that was before he moved in with you. I guess he's just adjusting. He'll be okay soon." And with that he went to go help my mom in the kitchen. Why did I ever wish for a brother? I thought to myself as I trudged up the stairs. When I made it to Mitch's room his door swung open.

"You just watch your mouth Hoying," he started sassily pointing a finger at me. I laughed and pushed his finger away from me.

"Good luck with that Grassi! I could surely beat you up in seconds." Mitch rolled his eyes and slammed his door again.

"Mitch stop slamming your door! Your breaking it!" Mike scolded from downstairs. I heard Mitch groan again as I went back into my room. I than texted Kirstie, "see you in ten!" She responded with a smiley face. Soon I heard a car pull up and Kirstie stepped out of it. I ran downstairs to greet her excitedly. Mitch slowly made his way down the stairs, dragging his suitcase behind him. He approached Kirstie as she tried her best not to break out into an argument.

"Hi I'm Kirstin! I'm Scott's friend. You can call me Kirstie if you want." She said kindly sticking her hand out. Mitch out down his suitcase and shook her hand with a fake smile.

"Hey Kirstin my name is Mitch. I'm Scott's unwanted step-brother." And with that he turned around, rolled his eyes and walked back to the living room. Kirstie looked at me angrily.

"Your right," she started, "he is mean." I laughed at her childishness. I than patted her shoulder.

"Trust me it's not going to be fun for either of us." She nodded and went out to the car of which we were taking to the camp. We all piled into the car. Mitch sat in the passengers seat. My mom driving. And Kirstie and I sat in the back. We laughed and talked during all of the thirty minutes. Mitch just moped and looked out the window. We finally arrived and Kirstie and I grabbed our bags and made our way to our usual cabin. Cabin 109. I opened the door and smelled the smell of fresh wood. Kirstie and I got the bunk bed and Mitch got the queen sized bed, (duh!)

Soon we were all settled.

"Just so you know," Mitch started folding his arms, "I don't have any intentions of talking to any of you during this trip." Kirstie and I both rolled our eyes and headed outside.

"Lunch time everyone!" The camp leader called, "please make your way to the main building." Mitch stayed there and Kirstie and I went on our way.

"Shoot I forgot something in the cabin!" Kirstie said suddenly running back towards the cabin leaving me there by myself. She better get out of there fast!

Kirstie's POV
I ran into the cabin startling Mitch. He rolled his eyes and turned his attention towards his phone.

"Hey you not allowed phones!" I yelled annoyed. He just looked at me like I was crazy and turned back to it.

"Listen weirdo. I don't care. Okay? I don't even want to be here." I folded my arms thinking of a way to change his mind.

"There'll be cute girls." I said making him look up. He laughed and nodded his head.

"Seriously? We're talking about a bunch of music nerd girls. Yeah right! Plus I'm already taken so if you like me, stay away." He said still looking down at his phone, smirking.

"Listen Mitch or whatever the frick your name is. Please at least get your ass out this cabin and have lunch." Mitch groaned and got up from the bunk, hiding his phone under his pillow.

"Whatever." He said dryly as he made his way to the main building.
