Mitch's POV
I blushed and looked away. "Hey," I started. I helped her up awkwardly and stood still red in the face.

"Mitch?" she said again obviously still in shock. I brought her into a hug. She tightened the hug making me smile. "I found you again," she whispered shakily as tears filled her eyes. I wiped them away and smiled.

"Yes you did," I could tell different emotions were surging through her. Anger, sadness, happiness, surprise.

"But I'm guessing this doesn't last forever," she said nodding sadly, "you're probably going to go back to your house and forget this ever happened." She wasn't just sad, she was frustrated with me.

"Kirst I'm sor-" she than interrupted me.

"Sorry isn't going to fix this Mitch! You left. And you left me behind. God why did I ever put myself in your life?" Ouch. That hurt. I took a step back cautiously as tears now threatened my eyes.

"O-okay. I'm so sorry I ruined your perfect life." I spat. Kirstie than took a step forward.

"Mitch I didn't mean it-" I stopped her by putting my hand up.

"I know you meant it Kirstie. It's okay. I understand that I'm just another waste of space. I'll go now." I then picked up all of my stuff that fell and walked away towards my house as tears now escaped my eyes.

Kirstie's POV
I stood there frozen. What the hell just happened? People were pushing past me glaring at me as I picked up my stuff as well. I need to call Scott. I dialled his number and sighed.

"Hey kirst what's up? He spoke casually.

"Scott can you come out now?" I asked sharply, "I think we should go now." The line went silent and I heard him sigh.

"Fine just let me pay for my stuff and I'll meet you outside. You my friend have some explaining to do," I laughed and hung up. 10 minutes later he comes strutting out of the store with at least 30 bags in his hands. I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"That took a long time Hoying," I complained. He now rolled his eyes as I took some bags out of his hands.

"Sorry long line. Anyways let's go to Starbucks and talk." I nodded my head in agreement linking my arm to his. We got our drinks, sat down, and talked for hours.

"Woah that's intense," Scott said taking a sip of his drink when I finished telling him everything. I nodded and sighed. "Don't get stressed kit Kat. He'll come around sometime soon. His mom is coming to visit for the weekend. Talk to him then." I shook my head.

"After what I said? Are you serious? I'm positive Mitch never wants to see me again," I huffed. Scott rubbed my back than brought me into a hug.

"Mitch never told us the real reason he left. Just figure things out with him and figure out his reasoning for this situation." I nodded as I finished off my drink.

"Well I better get home before mama bear calls," I said getting up. I hugged Scott and made my way to my car. When I reached my car my phone buzzed.

Mitch: I'll see you on the weekend.

I sighed and locked my phone again. Can't wait. I then drove home as quickly as possible. I had to figure things out. And fast.

Mitch's POV
I sighed as I saw that Kirstie read it. There was a lot of tension between us at the time and I felt nervous just texting her. I regretted yelling at her, but she said something that could brake anyone. And sadly the one person I didn't want to say that to me, said it. Great. Soon my phone started ringing. I groaned as I stared at the caller I.D. I answered it a little too agitatedly.

"What?" I growled. The voice on the other end off line scoffed.

"Hey to you too," I sighed.

"Sorry Scott," I could hear a smile creep onto Scott's lips.

"Don't say sorry to me. Say sorry to Kirstie. She's probably balling her eyes out right now. She feels so bad." I gulped thinking about the previous event of today.

"How do you know all of this?" He laughed lightly.

"I'm Kirstie's best friend, what do you think?" I laughed and shrugged.

"I guess I'll see you on the weekend," we than said our goodbyes. When I hung up I flopped on my bed and sighed. Yeah I'll see you on the weekend when I'm even more broken than I already am.

"Mitch!" my mom called, "let's go for a ride, just because I feel like it." I nodded and grabbed my jacket.

"Where to mom?" I asked. She shrugged.

"I just miss you and I think we should have a mother son night," I smiled.

"That sounds nice," we than got in the car and my mom started driving into the bad parts of the city. "Mom I'm not sure about this," I said cautiously. My mom kept looking forward.

"This is the only way to get where I want us to go sweetie," I nodded my head. As we reached the edge of the ruff area I saw a figure running towards us. I ignored it until it reached my window. The figure than pulled out a gun and fired. The last thing I heard was my mom screaming.

Than everything went black. And the only thing left of me...

Was my broken, lifeless, body.
