Demons

Ting!

A small rock flew into the air. Of course, the rock didn't fly by itself. Someone kicked it. That annoyed someone was a sixteen-year old called Akiyama Saito. He was releasing stress through violence, some of his top notch ways to do it. Of course, it was bad, but unfortunately effective.

The boy stared angrily at the floor with his blue eyes. He traced his newly gained scar on his cheek. He sighed and continued to walk, actually stomp, away. As he walked through the city he saw the force field. The force field that caged him and many others in this hell-hole of a city. He would've ran away if he could.

That force field was necessary though. If they didn't have it demons would've killed the whole city years ago.

That's right, demons.

In the year of 2017, demons managed to break out of hell. They destroyed, burned and brought the whole world to chaos.

Eventually, in the year 2020, scientists managed to create a force field all over Tokyo. No demons can get in, and no demons can get out.

But, there was a catch.

There always was a catch.

The force field didn't only destroy demons that touched it, it killed every single creature alive.

Food eventually ran out. The people started to hunger, panic and thirst. There were quite a few revolutions. Though, there was only one that was big.

In the year of 2037, food printing was created. Slowly, the city started to calm down. There was enough food and water enough for everyone now.

There was only one problem though.

The demons.

There are a lot of demons still remaining in the city. Now, that wouldn't be such a problem if their bites weren't contagious.
Basically, if you get bitten, you turn into one of them. It's not so simple though. You slowly become more paranoid, more aggressive, insane. You painfully fall apart until you turn.

But your chance to turn isn't that great.

Since demons look like humans only with horns, tails, fangs and unnatural hair color, they invented DNA-scanners. Before you go into every building you get your DNA scanned. If you are one of them, you get killed on the spot.

Seems pretty easy to spot a demon, right? If you have the right information, yes.

But half demons? Completely different situation.

For an unknown reason, when they go for a DNA-scan, the scanners always show they are humans.

Half-demons only have some of the demonic characteristics. But it all depends on the person. Some have fangs and a tail, some have purple hair and horns etc... They heal very fast, but they can die of old age, while demons can only die by holy water or a really bad wound in the heart.

What makes them more dangerous than actual demons is that they aren't mindless. While demons only desire chaos and they get it by un-strategically attacking anything in near sight, half-demons only show their true form when they are extremely angry. Only then do they become real mindless demons.

And Saito's main problem with this city? Well, except normal angsty teenage problems, he's half-demon. And he gets angry very, very easily.
