The Argument

After Saito's work at the shop, he walked outside with Miku.

"How's your arm?" Miku asked quietly.

He looked at his arm. It still hurt a bit and he had a huge scar over it. He didn't know what he would make up when Yui would finally see it, but he decided to just come up with an excuse on the spot. After all, he was amazing at lying... Said no one ever.

"Its good. They did a pretty good job." Saito answered nonchalantly.

"Well, I'm glad to hear that." She said with a small smile.

There was an awkward silence. Well, it was now or never. He decided to finally ask her.

"Could you maybe help me?" Saito asked awkwardly.

"Oh, um, what is it?" she asked cautiously.

"Well, I'm trying to control my demon side. And my friend researched that I could do that by buying some pills." He started to explain.

"I see..." she nodded understandingly.

"And those pills are illegal. So, since you're connected to the west side, could you maybe get them for me?" he asked with shut eyes, kind of afraid of her reaction.

He didn't want her to think he was using her. He just needed this, but he didn't just communicate with her because of her connection.

"Oh, sure." Miku answered casually.

"I don't want you to think I'm manipulating you! I'll pay and everything!"

"Its okay." She tried to calm him down.

"I can even go there and get them myself!"

"No, really, its okay." She assured him.

She really didn't see anything manipulative about this. If she could help him, she'll do it. She was happy she was even useful, and to her crush to top it all off.

"Thank you so much!" Saito thanked her.

She blushed, feeling weird that he was so nice. He was also blushing, but that's cause he's a dork.

He surprisingly got the pills right the next day. He was surprised at her efficiency. Apparently he needed to take one pill per week, and there were about 30 pills inside. Saito came home feeling quite pleased. Now, he'll finally control himself. He was even more pleased when he saw he was home alone. Time for soap operas and cuddling kittens. But before all that, he went to his room to change. As he took of his shirt his bedroom door opened.

"You're home." Yui said tiredly.

Saito panicked and tried to cover up his arm, but Yui's eyes were too sharp.

"What the hell is that on your arm?" she said in worry as she quickly walked over to him.

He tried to move away and put his shirt on, but she stopped him. Her eyes widened as she saw the scar.

"How the hell did you get this?!" Yui screamed.

"I just got into a fight..." he half lied.

"Ugh, did you get into a fight with those stupid wild White Walls? Now that they're broken up they'll do who knows what..." she started rambling to herself.

Good. She didn't find out about the police almost catching him.

"Wait... Is that a holy water wound?" Yui asked wide eyed.

Spoke too soon.

"N-No..."

"Why are you so reckless?! Did they see your face?!" Yui started to panic.

"If they did, I think they would've been knocking at our doors by now." Saito said in annoyance.

"Ughh! Do you want them to catch you!? I thought you cooled down!" She scolded angrily.

"What?! So you finally couldn't get what you wanted in your perfect life?!" he yelled back.

"What the hell are you talking about?!"

"Oh, if I get caught that's gonna be something you didn't get right! I doubt you even care if I die, I bet its all just to please mom!" he didn't even know what he was talking about.

He was just so angry. She always gets everything. Always.

"How... How could you say something like that!?" her voice cracked.

How could he say she didn't care about him? She always wanted what's best for him. She felt so hurt. A tear slid down her face. She just ran out of the room, deeply hurt that her brother thinks that lowly of her.

Saito just stared at the place she previously stood. He couldn't believe what he said either. He breathed in deeply and just threw himself on his bed. His mind was so full of thoughts. It was too much for him.

She did everything right, he didn't do anything. He killed people. His very existence was a danger to his family. He wasn't even acting grateful. He only got into fights. He killed people. Je killed people...

He killed... People...

And with that single thought and a picture of that horrible night, he fell asleep.

The next day he avoided Yui, since the only other method of dealing with problems , except violence, was ignoring them.

"I got the pills." Saito smiled at Yoko.

She raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"Not even gonna ask how. But I read those pills are bad for the mind." She said as she laid on the back of her chair.

"What do you mean?" he asked curiously.

"That maybe the subject will have a bit of an oppression over the pills if they use them out of place." She shrugged.

"But I'll use them correctly." He said proudly.

"You can't even socialize correctly." Yoko snarked.

"You can't even put on make up correctly." He returned the snark, unamused.

Just then, he heard alarms going off. The noise filled the room, the entirety of the school. Saito's eyes widened.

"CHILDREN, THERE IS A DEMON IN SCHOOL! FOLLOW THE TEACHERS OUTSIDE AS LEVEL HEADEDLY AS POSSIBLE!" the yelling was heard from the speaker.

Everyone started to scream and panic. The students tried to push themselves outside forcefully. Yoko just pushed the strong ones out of the way, making way for the girls and the weaker kids.

There weren't many people in that classroom, since it was a break. But one problem. Yui wasn't in class and he had no idea where to find her. Then he started to panic as well.

What if he never sees her again? And what if it all their communication ends just by their argument? He couldn't let that happen. Even though it was reckless and stupid, Saito ran to the opposite side of the exit, determined to find his sister.
