Sickness

One month has passed since Haru's death. It was now the middle of November, and everyone cooled down a bit. Yui was still visibly nervous and irritable, but she was slowly returning to her normal self. Saito also noticed that she stopped with the drinks, at least she looked like it. Mitsuki looked like she was bothered with something. To look on the positive side of things, Saito could spend more time alone with Mitsuki. He actually found some alone time at their usual lunch table, that was slowly getting less used since the execution.

"You looked really worried..." Saito said thoughtfully.

Mitsuki wasn't as bubbly and she didn't have random speeches in the middle of others sentences. She looked more absent minded, and she smiled less than usual.

"I... My opinion is that Toshiki wasn't in the right to report Haru..." She said, looking down at her meal.

She was still thinking about that? And if Saito could clearly remember, she said that his death was for the greater good.

"I am aware of what I said." Mitsuki said as if she was reading his mind.

"Then why did you say it?" Saito asked in confusion.

"Haru always stated that I should have trust in Toshiki more than anyone else. That he's always justifiably right." She explained.

"But... I disagree with him on many things..." She said under her breath.

Saito listened intently.

"He always brings my mood down. I lose hope with him. Sometimes I don't even question him because I want to avoid the truth." Her crystal blue eyes started to get welled up with tears.

"Haru always protected me... I don't know what I'll do without him..." And she finally started to cry.

The only thing Saito learned from Yui is that he should hug someone if they're feeling sad. That is exactly what he did, the only thing was that it looked awkward as hell. Mitsuki, being the airhead she is, didn't notice.
Toshiki couldn't even realize what kind of impact he can make on someone fragile like Mitsuki.

Mitsuki calmed down eventually and Saito felt proud that he actually took appropriate action. Yay, he's learning basic human functions.

Saito didn't even notice Hitomi wasn't at school until the teacher asked who'll bring her homework. Yui was the only one who raised her hand. Nobody was surprised.

"I'll do it for you." Saito said after class.

"Don't be stupid. I can handle it myself." Yui said stubbornly.

"You have a job after school. I don't think you'll have the time for that." Saito crossed his arms.

Yui glared at him and sighed. She stuffed the paper aggressively in his hands.

"She lives in the north side of town, Hakuso street, the orange house near the cheery blossoms." She explained thoroughly.

He wasn't even gonna question how she knew that.

After school he went straight to her house. While he walked he thought for a bit. Hitomi didn't go to school on the same date every month. It's always the eleventh of each month. He should take long walks more often.

He finally came to her house. Saito wasn't surprised on how stupid the color choice was. Dark orange. Seriously? And Saito the fashion designer strikes again.

He rang the doorbell. Nobody was answering. The lights were out. He guessed nobody was inside. He tried to open the door just in case. It was surprisingly unlocked.

He walked uncomfortably inside. Maybe she's still inside?
He found the light switch right next to the door and he switched it on. He was quite surprised by the sight. Lots of technologies, expensive shit and a huge flat screen. No wonder she acts so bratty, she's a spoiled little rich kid.

He walked around a bit. He looked for a table to put the papers at so he could leave. The first table he saw was in the kitchen. As he was about to enter the kitchen, he was punched.

He fell to the ground. As he looked up, he saw a very annoyed looking Hitomi. Her arms were crossed and she was leaning on the wall.

"Did... Did you just punch me?" Saito asked in surprise.

"No, I tickled you." Hitomi rolled her eyes.

Something was... Off about her. She didn't look like her usual cheery self, on the contrary, she looked deeply annoyed and irritated. Saito could tell she was sick just by looking at her. Her hair was messy and not in her usual pony tail and she looked pale. She looked generally tired and her eyes just looked like she hasn't slept. Her voice was still cheery though.

"I came to give you your homework..." He mumbled awkwardly as he got up from the floor.

He avoided her eye contact. He could still feel her glare at him. This was so weird.

"Super. Now get out." She pointed at the door.

"You're grumpy today..." He commented.

"I just don't like people when I'm sick." She grumbled while massaging her temples.

Her eyes suddenly widened. She looked dizzy and started wobbling on her spot. She started to fall, but Saito luckily caught her.

"Are you okay?!" He yelled in panic.

"Splendid." She mumbled, trying to get out of his grip.

Hitomi fell right back though.

"I'm gonna throw up..." She choked out.

And she did exactly that. Saito's expression was a mixture of disgust and worry.

"That's it, I'm taking care of you." Saito stated, feeling very 'Yui'-ish.

Hitomi only grunted, obviously not looking amused. He carried to the closest thing she could lay on, the couch. He tried to wrap her up in it, but she slapped his hand away.

"Don't touch me, you moron!" She yelled and wrapped herself up.

"You're making this harder than it should be." Saito said irritably.

"I didn't ask you to do this." Hitomi grumbled while glaring at him.

Saito only gave an unamused glance and went to look for the cleaning supplies. He started to look through closets in the large living area.

"Don't go through my stuff!" Hitomi yelled offensively and tried to get up.

She felt dizzy again and everything turned black. She felt her head hit something hard and a very worried voice.
